We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Director, Data Integration to join our senior data leadership team. This role will have oversight over claims data integration and will be responsible for ensuring seamless, accurate, and timely integration of healthcare data across our systems. The Director, Data Integration will lead a multi-team department of data engineers and will play a critical role in shaping our data strategy and driving the success of our data initiatives. The Director, Data Integration reports directly to the VP of Data Operations.

What Success Looks Like

In 3 months

- Demonstrate strong understanding of the Arcadia connector technology.

- Achieve familiarity with standard operating procedures, tools, and responsibilities for department.

- Establish credibility with key stakeholders and build relationships with direct reports and with their team members.


In 6 months

- Independently support managers to clear barriers and solve problems, moving the team forward towards its strategic objectives.

- Provide ongoing active contribution to methodology and process for team operations.

- Be recognized by key stakeholders as committed, disciplined, self-motivated and self-organizing.

- Build relationships with other Arcadia senior leaders.


In 12 months

- Contribute to cross-functional initiatives with other Data Operations or Customer Management peers.

- Become a sought-after expert on the connector domains within your department’s purview.

- Engage consultatively with customer stakeholders to help ensure the success of their data integration.

- Demonstrate clear improvements in data integration metrics for our customers.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Owning of the end-to-end business function for claims data integration
  • Overseeing the building, testing, and deployment of high-quality connectors and ingestion pipelines, incorporating lessons learned for continuous improvement
  • Engaging in sprint planning, product grooming, Jira task management, and other administrative responsibilities to support efficient development processes
  • Serving as a key member of the senior data leadership team contributing to the company’s data integration strategy
  • Acting as a designated subject matter expert and business owner for claims data and claims connector implementation, as well as optimization projects for the way we implement and support our connectors
  • Engaging directly with clients and serving as an advisor throughout the connector life cycle
  • Developing and implementing policies and procedures to ensure the achievement of team and company objectives
  • Evaluating team performance by gathering, analyzing, and interpreting data to identify areas to improve timeliness and quality of delivery, the achievement of key metrics, or customer satisfaction
  • Cover the following supervisory responsibilities for department:
  • Oversee the daily work of the team

    Provide constructive and timely performance evaluations

    Recruit, interview, hire, and train staff

    Handle performance management of employees in accordance with company policy

What You'll Bring

  • A bachelor’s degree in computer science, IT, data science, technology, or a related field
  • Minimum 10 years working experience in data integration or data engineering with a health care focus
  • Proven experience in leading and managing data integration teams and projects
  • Strong understanding of healthcare data standards and typical data sharing practices
  • Experience working directly with customers as a technical advisor  
  • Extensive coding experience in SQL/Spark/Scala/DBT for data transformation
  • Demonstrated spirit of innovation and continuous improvement
  • Independent idea generation and problem-solving, with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple strategic initiatives simultaneously
  • Excellent presentation and communication skills, including ability to create powerful materials in Microsoft PowerPoint, Excel, Word, etc.

  • Experience using collaboration tools such as Jira and Confluence
  • A positive attitude and willingness to adapt to a fast-paced environment
  • Proven track record in leading teams to achieve complicated, challenging objectives
  • Experience in partnering with offshore operations
  • Technical experience with databases, database architecture, cloud architecture, Python, Kafka, Nifi, DBT, Hudi, and AWS
