The Director of Data Governance sits within Quality, Regulatory, and Compliance and leads the evolution of DeepHealth's data ecosystem into a unified, high-quality enterprise asset. The role owns strategic design, implementation, and continuous improvement of the Data Governance Framework so data is accurate, secure, and ready for advanced analytics and AI initiatives.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
· Define and execute a Data Governance roadmap aligned with the Enterprise Information and Governance vision.
· Review, maintain, and enforce the Data Management Policy and Data Governance Charter against current regulatory and business needs.
· Facilitate decision-making on data standards and help resolve cross-functional data conflicts.
· Implement Data Quality Management procedures and establish KPIs for data accuracy, completeness, and consistency.
· Define enterprise-wide data standards, including metadata management, data lineage, and master data management protocols.
· Partner with IT and Security so data pipelines support AI applications while maintaining security boundaries.
· Work with Security to define data classification levels and manage high-risk data access policies.
· Ensure data practices adhere to applicable global privacy regulations and internal Enterprise Information and Governance mandates.
· Align data governance priorities with organizational objectives and regulatory requirements.
· Mentor and develop team members as the data governance capability grows.
Minimum Qualifications, Education and Experience
· Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, Information Management, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience (required).
7 to 10 years of progressive experience in Data Management, Data Governance, or Information Architecture in healthcare, medical technology, or another highly regulated industry (required).
Strong experience with DAMA-DMBOK frameworks and data quality lifecycle management (required).
Deep understanding of data profiling tools, metadata management, and modern data stack concepts (required).
Experience with AI systems in production or product development contexts (required).
Excellent written and oral communication skills, including explaining complex concepts to diverse audiences (required).
High level of integrity and confidentiality (required).
Preferred: Master's degree or advanced relevant certifications.
