Job Purpose:
 

This position is responsible for data analytics strategy, scope and function. The role develops and collaborates with other analytics leaders to maintain business intelligence reporting frameworks, tools, and data marts; works cross-functionally with various business owners to determine and meet their reporting and analytics needs; and manages a team of business analysts and consultants to ensure timely high-quality reporting, analytics, and solutions. Ensures internal and external customers have the necessary data and information for ongoing daily operations and strategic planning. Provides in-depth analysis to drive discovery of new opportunities for continued business growth.

This individual will work to administer organizational activities, and analyze, review, and develop business strategies. The role requires partnering with senior leadership to understand business strategy and positioning the analytics team to prioritize models, insights, and scalable solutions. 

Job Responsibilities:
 

  • Plan and implement the overall analytics and business intelligence strategy for respective area to ensure business and customer goals are met.
  • Work with leadership team to provide analytic support for the development of creative approaches to improve the customer experience and make it easier for the business to measure customer activity and preference over time. Develop recommendations, methodologies, and roadmaps to capture the most critical, actionable data to achieve business goals.
  • Lead the design and development of analytical projects designed to understand key business behaviors that support the success of respective area to drive customer acquisition, retention, and engagement.
  • Identify opportunities to develop forecasts, statistical models, segmentation schemes, and data-driven analyses to drive marketing efforts.
  • Accountable for the performance and results of multiple related teams, working with leaders to identify improvements in the discipline/department.
  • Develop discipline/departmental plans, including business production and/or organizational priorities.
  • Actively participate in the company’s overall data governance process.
  • Discover new opportunities to optimize the business through analytics and statistical modeling. Partner with Information Technology team to deliver a robust, stable, and highly available reporting platform.
  • Work with various business owners to identify information needs and develop reporting.
  • Oversee all aspects of analytics and business intelligence projects.
  • Develop and maintain reporting and analytical tools, including Business Objects.
  • Integrate web analytics into transactional and customer analytics.
  • Hire, train, develop, and lead an agile analytics team, ensuring they meet  reporting and analytical needs of the business.

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, marketing, economics, mathematics, computer science, or related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience. 
  • 10 years of experience in analytics, business intelligence, and/or marketing analytics.
  • Proven people and project management experience.
  • Technical expertise regarding data models, data mining, segmentation techniques, predictive modeling, and advanced analytics.
  • Experience with financial and/or insurance services data.
  • Strong knowledge of and experience with reporting packages (Tableau, PowerBI, etc.), databases (SQL, Snowflake, etc.), programming (XML, JavaScript, or ETL frameworks), or the equivalent. Knowledge of statistics and experience using statistical packages for analyzing large datasets (Excel, SPSS, SAS, etc.).
  • Highly developed presentation skills and ability to tell “data stories”; ability to get positive results through influence, persuasion, leadership, presentations, and group facilitation skills.
  • Strong interpersonal and demonstrated team-building and coaching skills; proven teamwork and collaboration. Ability to communicate technical concepts to non-technical audiences in an informal setting. Ability to interact effectively with and influence other functional areas as required through collaborative relationships.

Base Salary Range:

$151,200.00 - $281,200.00
