Job Description:
The Director, CVS is responsible for driving profitable and sustainable growth for the Mars Snacking business through strategic customer leadership, exceptional talent management, and flawless execution of customer and company priorities. This role leads the development and execution of the CVS go-to-market strategy, annual business planning, and customer growth initiatives while delivering P&L objectives and category leadership. The Director is accountable for building, developing, and leading a high-performing team; fostering strong cross-functional collaboration; and cultivating executive-level customer relationships that create long-term value for both Mars and CVS. Through data-driven decision-making, innovation, and effective resource management, this role influences internal and external stakeholders to achieve customer, marketplace, and company objectives.
This role is part of our Field Sales Organization reporting into the Vice President of Club, Value and Drug. This role will be hybrid in our Lincoln, Rhode Island Office.
What are we looking for?
Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
8+ years of sales/category/analytics/marketing experience within CPG industry and advanced knowledge of forecasting, trade management, and customer negotiations.
Demonstrated ability to build collaborative partnerships with retail customers and internal business stakeholders.
Direct selling and category management experience across retailers, illustrating ability to develop and execute multi-year growth strategy.
Strong analytic skills and ability to distill complex data into simple stories.
Experience directly working with eCOM/digitally focused customers preferred.
5+ year of leadership experience with direct reports is preferred.
Strong history of identifying root causes and developing options to solve challenges.

Drove annual account planning through innovative, data-driven approaches that increased sales growth, strengthened customer relationships, and delivered measurable return on investment.
Applied analytical rigor, market insights, and creative problem-solving to optimize product launches, customer strategies, and day-to-day operations while consistently exceeding performance expectations.
Directed end-to-end execution of category strategies, including assortment, shelving, merchandising, pricing, promotions, and seasonal programs to achieve customer and company objectives.
Influenced key customer decisions through fact-based selling and strategic presentations, delivering mutually beneficial solutions that enhanced category leadership and business results.
Led successful new product launches by ensuring timely execution, cross-functional alignment, and maximum marketplace impact.
Oversaw forecasting, analytics, and performance monitoring to drive continuous improvement, operational excellence, and proactive identification of growth opportunities.
Leveraged sales data, customer insights, market trends, and cross-functional resources to develop innovative business solutions that accelerated profitable growth.
Managed customer trade investment budgets and resources, ensuring compliance, financial accountability, and effective allocation of funds to maximize business performance.
Recruited, developed, coached, and retained high-performing talent while establishing clear expectations, mentoring team members, fostering collaboration, and driving achievement of company, customer, and individual goals.

The base pay range for this position at commencement of employment is between the range listed below, however, base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including but not limited to job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position will include variable pay, medical and dental benefits, participation in 401k plan, and paid time off benefits. Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an applicant receives an offer of employment.
