An Insider's view of cove

What's something quirky about your company?

To say we enjoy trivia would be an understatement. We love to get together and play some games and get our minds jogging outside of work-related material. We all are a little bit competitive but always keep it friendly. It has allowed our teams to connect in a different way and build bonds even though we’re not in the same place.

Tasha

Experience Manager

What does your typical day look like?

Jobs I’ve had before were spent on the same app every day and pumping out features. At cove, no two days are alike. One day could be brainstorming the UX for a new feature, one day coding, one day on the building a UI component, etc. I’ve been able to wear a lot of different hats and I didn’t realize how much I'd enjoy that environment.

Wil

Software Engineer

What are some things you learned at the company?

The willingness to try new things. I am usually a more reserved person, however cove has been incredibly supportive, encouraging me to try new things. The senior engineers are great mentors. When you try to tackle something new, the team is behind you. If you run into roadblocks, they will be there to assist you with moving forward.

Sarath

Software Engineer

How do you collaborate with other teams in the company?

One of the unique parts of our product is that it is used by our Experience team allowing us to collaborate directly with end users and receive immediate feedback. To hear “this is awesome!” is really fun as a developer; to know that the work I'm doing not only helps us build a better product but also supports our team in doing their jobs better.
