The Position 
The Director of Customer Marketing will lead the customer and vertical marketing function for Honeywell Building Automation. This leader will develop and execute integrated customer marketing strategies that increase customer engagement, strengthen loyalty, support pipeline creation, and deliver measurable business growth across the portfolio. 

The successful candidate will bring deep commercial marketing experience and a track record of leading customer-facing programs from strategy through execution. The role oversees integrated campaigns, customer programs, events, webinars, demand generation initiatives, and vertical market strategies. It requires a leader who can translate customer and market insight into action while navigating the pace, scale, and complexity of a large, matrixed organization. 
You will report directly to our Chief Commercial Officer and work from Atlanta, Georgia, on a hybrid work schedule.

Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities 
•    Lead the customer and vertical marketing function, setting a clear strategy and operating rhythm aligned with Building Automation’s commercial growth priorities. 
•    Develop and execute customer marketing strategies that strengthen engagement, acquisition, retention, loyalty, and revenue growth across priority markets and customer segments. 
•    Own end-to-end commercial marketing programs, including integrated campaigns, customer programs, webinars, events, content, and demand generation activities. 
•    Develop vertical market strategies that translate customer needs, market intelligence, and business priorities into targeted value propositions and activation plans. 
•    Partner closely with Sales, Product Management, Commercial Excellence, regional teams, and Marketing Centers of Excellence to deliver integrated go-to-market programs. 
•    Guide customer-focused marketing support for new product introductions, product launches, Global Design Models, and other strategic growth initiatives. 
•    Establish scalable processes, governance, and operating mechanisms that enable effective execution across functions, regions, and business units. 
•    Define team goals, performance indicators, and marketing metrics connected to customer engagement, pipeline contribution, revenue growth, and business impact. 
•    Use customer insight, market intelligence, and performance data to refine priorities, improve customer experience, and optimize marketing investment. 
•    Influence senior stakeholders, communicate strategy clearly, and maintain alignment across a complex, global, matrixed organization. 
•    Lead, coach, and develop the team while strengthening succession planning, employee engagement, inclusion, and accountability. 
 

Qualifications

You Must Have 
•    Minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in customer marketing, commercial marketing, demand generation, strategic marketing, or related B2B marketing leadership roles. 
•    Demonstrated success developing and executing customer-facing marketing strategies and programs from concept through delivery and measurement. 
•    Experience leading teams and developing marketing talent. 
•    Experience operating in a large, complex, matrixed organization and collaborating across functions, regions, and seniority levels. 
•    Strong understanding of commercial growth, customer engagement, demand generation, and integrated go-to-market execution. 
•    Excellent executive communication, presentation, stakeholder management, and influencing skills. 
•    Ability to perform effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and translate strategy into measurable outcomes.

•    Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, Communications, or a related field. 
•    Customer marketing leadership experience within building technologies, building automation, industrial technology, smart buildings, manufacturing, software, or another complex B2B environment.
