Summary:

In this role, you will lead and manage a team of sourcing executives, overseeing service fee-based and statement-of-work client engagements. You will drive strategic initiatives focused on achieving measurable cost savings and operational efficiencies, delivering exceptional value to our clients. You will be responsible for setting the vision, developing high-impact strategies, and ensuring the successful execution of sourcing initiatives to achieve value, and enhance operational efficiencies. You will serve as a trusted advisor, empowering your team and collaborating across varying levels of leadership to achieve organizational goals.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide strategic leadership and direction to a team of sourcing executives, ensuring alignment with organizational priorities and goals.

  • Promote a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement within the team as well as cross functionally.

  • Lead and mentor team members in executing RFP processes, negotiating complex agreements, and achieving market-competitive pricing and terms.

  • Coach and mentor team members to manage priorities effectively, anticipate obstacles, and clear roadblocks for successful project execution.

  • Develop and implement comprehensive strategic sourcing roadmaps, prioritizing opportunities to deliver value and enhance client satisfaction.

  • Champion the identification and implementation of operational processes, initiatives, and goals to drive efficiency and achieve strategic objectives.

  • Cultivate synergy and collaboration across multiple business units to align efforts and achieve shared goals.

  • Collaborate with clients and Vizient colleagues to enhance national agreements and develop customized contracting strategies, leveraging Vizient's category expertise to inform and guide strategic decisions.

  • Foster and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, internal stakeholders, and client teams to maximize delivered value.

Qualifications:

  • Relevant degree preferred.  Advanced degree is a plus.

  • 7 or more years of relevant experience required. Strategic sourcing, contracting, or supply chain roles highly preferred.

  • Proven track record of successful contract negotiations and the delivery of measurable cost savings in a healthcare setting preferred.

  • Exceptional leadership, coaching, and mentoring skills, with the ability to influence cross-functional teams and stakeholders.

  • Strong relationship-building, communication, and strategic problem-solving skills.

  • Ability to collaborate effectively with legal and business partners to address complex contractual and operational challenges.

  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with expertise in simplifying complex information.

  • Willingness to travel.

Estimated Hiring Range:

At Vizient, we consider skills, experience, and organizational needs in our compensation approach. Geographic factors may adjust the range estimate and hires typically fall below the top range. Compensation decisions are tailored to individual circumstances. The current salary range for this role is $102,400.00 to $179,000.00.

This position is also incentive eligible.
