Director Creative Unscripted – México & US Hispanic

Role Summary

The Creative Director will be responsible for leading, defining, and overseeing the creative vision for all unscripted projects—including reality shows, competitions, docu-realities, entertainment programs, factual programs, and social experiments—aimed at the Mexican and US Hispanic markets. Their mission will be to generate innovative, robust, and culturally relevant concepts, oversee their development, and manage their production execution to ensure that each format maintains the company's creative, narrative, and visual identity, while adhering to the highest international standards.

Core Responsibilities

• Define the creative strategy for unscripted content, establishing the tone, language, and visual DNA of each format.

• Lead ideation sessions, develop new original concepts, and adapt international properties to the Latin and US Hispanic context.

• Support the creative process during pre-production, filming, and post-production; review dynamics, editorial tone, editing pace, and visual narrative to ensure consistency with the original intent.

• Work closely with Production, Development, Marketing, and Platform Executives to align creative vision, business needs, and audience expectations.

• Validate look and feel, art direction, set design, and graphic style to maintain visual consistency and the identity of each show.

• Serve as the creative voice in presentations, pitches, and strategic meetings with networks and streaming services.

• Lead and inspire the creative team (development, story producers, editors, content directors), fostering innovation and excellence.

• Identify new narratives and opportunities within the unscripted ecosystem, observing the competition and audience preferences. • Extend the narrative of existing formats to social media, interactive experiences, and complementary digital content.

• Ensure that each program reflects the company's values, tone, and creative personality.

• Client and platform relationships: Build and maintain strong relationships with networks, platforms, and strategic partners, ensuring creative alignment and consistent communication throughout the development and production process.

• Regional collaboration: Work closely and continuously with the LATAM Development Manager to coordinate strategies, share insights, and guarantee creative consistency across all territories.

• Creative management and negotiation: Lead and deliver presentations and pitches to clients, platforms, and partners; represent the company's creative vision, champion proposals, and adapt ideas to meet each client's editorial and brand needs.

Requirements

• More than 10 years of experience in unscripted entertainment, including reality, factual, competition, or docuseries, with a minimum of 5 years in a creative leadership role.

• Demonstrable experience developing, selling, or overseeing international formats adapted to the Latin American or US Hispanic market.

• In-depth knowledge of the unscripted production ecosystem (development, pre-production, filming, and post-production processes).

• Broad understanding of consumption trends, visual storytelling, and audience dynamics on TV and digital platforms.

• Fluency in both written and spoken English and Spanish.

• Excellent communication, leadership, and presentation skills.

• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, under pressure, and with a strategic vision.

SKILLS

• Strategic vision and creative leadership.

• Innovation in formats and narrative structures.

• Ability to inspire and lead multidisciplinary teams.

• Cultural sensitivity for diverse audiences.

• Effective communication and global thinking.
