We are seeking an experienced Director of Creative Operations to lead a team of producers to enable and facilitate the development of best-in-class work. Reporting to the VP, the Executive Creative Director will be responsible for enhancing the efficiency and effectiveness of our creative processes, from brief development to final output, ensuring that our team can deliver high-quality work that aligns with our company’s vision and strategic goals.

As the Director of Creative Operations, you will…

  • Guide, mentor, and manage the internal creative operations team, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement.
  • Develop and implement streamlined creative processes to maximize team output and efficiency, including project management methodologies and workflow management.
  • Oversee budget allocation for creative projects, ensuring optimal use of resources while maintaining high-quality standards.
  • Partner with creative leadership on shared ownership of agency relationships. 
  • Drive the processes related to onboarding and off-boarding agencies, including spinning up project engagements.
  • Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) for the Brand Creative team and track progress to inform decision-making and continuous improvement efforts.
  • Plug into larger planning initiatives and cadences led by the Program Marketing Organization.
  • Analyze existing production processes and implement best practices, right-sized for the maturity of the team and ambitions of the business, to drive quality, efficiency, and effectiveness in creative output.

Qualifications

  • 15+ years of experience working on a scaled creative operations program, including hands-on experience with project management. 5+ years of management experience.
  • Proven experience in working with creative disciplines and managing all aspects of creative agency relationships.
  • Proven expertise in creative process optimization, project management, and team leadership.
  • Experience managing budgets.
  • Strong understanding of design principles, brand identity, and digital marketing strategies.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills.
  • Proficiency with project management tools and software (e.g., Asana, Trello, Monday.com).
  • A results-driven mindset with the ability to prioritize, manage multiple projects, and meet deadlines.

Grammarly takes a market-based approach to compensation, which means base pay may vary depending on your location. Our US locations are categorized into two compensation zones based on proximity to our hub locations.

Base pay may vary considerably depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The expected salary ranges for this position are outlined below by compensation zone and may be modified in the future.

Zone 1: $271,000 – $373,000/year USD
