Are you a seasoned accounting leader ready to drive excellence across global teams? We’re seeking a hands-on Director of Corporate Accounting to partner with our VP, Corporate Controller and oversee accounting operations for our U.S. and European entities. You will ensure accurate, compliant financial reporting and smooth collaboration with finance teams in the US, Denmark, Germany, and Italy.
 

What You’ll Do:

  • Lead and optimize the financial close and consolidation processes across subsidiaries, ensuring timely, accurate IFRS and local statutory reporting.

  • Oversee preparation and review of financial statements for internal and external stakeholders, including parent company reporting and local statutory filings.

  • Own the development, documentation, and implementation of accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls to improve operational efficiency and comply with parent company requirements.

  • Manage and coordinate external audit activities, building strong relationships with auditors and ensuring smooth annual financial audits.

  • Ensure compliance with GAAP, IFRS, tax laws, SOX, and JSOX (where applicable), as well as all relevant regulations and parent company policies.

  • Lead technical accounting research on complex transactions and document conclusions through white papers and other formal communication.

  • Drive the planning, design, and implementation of ERP and compliance systems, including D365, FloQast, and Audit Board.

  • Collaborate with tax advisors and the parent company to optimize tax strategies and ensure jurisdictional compliance.

  • Partner with global finance leaders and cross-functional teams to harmonize accounting practices and support company-wide initiatives.

  • Build, mentor, and lead a diverse international accounting team, fostering accountability, growth, and a culture of continuous improvement.

  • Collaborate on annual budgeting and long-term financial forecasting to guide business planning.
     

What We’re Looking For:

  • Certified Public Accountant (CPA) with deep IFRS, GAAP, SOX, and preferably JSOX experience.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; Master’s degree preferred.

  • Minimum 15 years of progressive accounting experience with at least 5 years in leadership roles.

  • Experience in biologics, pharmaceuticals, or contract manufacturing, ideally within international manufacturing operations.

  • Proven expertise in defining, implementing, and operating ERP systems and advanced financial software.

  • Exceptional communication skills with the ability to clearly explain complex accounting matters to diverse stakeholders.

  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, international environment.

  • Willingness and ability to travel internationally as required.

  • Unwavering commitment to ethical standards, confidentiality, and accurate financial reporting.
     

Leadership Skills:

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills in English; Danish is an advantage but not required.

  • Exemplary people leadership skills.

  • Ability to solve complex problems using sound judgment and pragmatic, well-reasoned approaches.
