As Director of Core Technology & IT Operations, you will shape Armanino’s next-generation technology infrastructure, driving cloud transformation, AI innovation, and real-time analytics to support firm-wide growth. You’ll build and lead a high-performing team, influence IT strategy, and ensure secure, scalable systems that enable business outcomes.
Job Responsibilities
Define the future-state infrastructure strategy aligned with firm-wide digital transformation goals including having a global footprint and optimizing real-time analytics, AI workloads, and secure data exchange.
Build a new infrastructure team focused on AI, big data, and intelligent automation.
Introduce AI-based methodologies for infrastructure provisioning, monitoring, and incident response.
Design a self-healing, AI Driven infrastructure that predicts and resolves issues autonomously.
Recruit and develop talent with skills in cloud engineering, data architecture, cybersecurity, and AI operations.
Oversee migration from legacy systems to cloud-native and AI-enabled platforms.
Responsible for the design and creation of an AI enabled Data Lake/Lakehouse driving accessibility and availability of data (real time).
Create a future-state environment that empowers citizen developers to build low-code/no-code solutions.
Participate as a key stakeholder in broader governance groups ensuring alignment of IT Initiatives and business outcomes
Establish an intake and governance model to ensure alignment, security, and compliance for citizen-developed apps.
Provide toolkits, training, and guardrails for safe and scalable citizen development initiatives.
Setup and deploy Managed Data Lifecycle Automation for compliance, retention, and secure archival of all Armanino data leveraging Data Governance frameworks with automated metadata tagging and lineage tracking.
Redefine/align teams dedicated to the design, delivery, and ongoing optimization of the firm’s foundational technology platforms — specifically infrastructure, cloud, DevOps, cybersecurity, and IT operations to the future state infrastructure strategy.
Lead network security maturity improvements to address evolving threats and strive to implement a zero-trust architecture and advanced identity management
Create a culture of IT professionals steeped in alignment, extreme ownership for outcomes, continuous improvement and intellectual honesty
Ensure that technology systems support key business strategies and processes that enable growth and flexibility.
Manage capital and operational budgets focusing heavily on ROI and ensuring continual alignment with business outcomes.
Demonstrate a management style that encourages mentorship, teamwork, participation, communication, and service orientation. Empower the IT team to succeed, assist in removing roadblocks, and coach the team to high-performance levels.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology or related field or equivalent experience.
Minimum of 15 years of progressive technology leadership experience across infrastructure, cloud, DevOps, and IT operations.

Prior experience in a professional services environment required.
Proven success leading large-scale cloud transformations and implementing AI or automation initiatives.
Hands-on experience with ServiceNow (ITSM, ITOM, or CMDB), automation platforms, and AI chatbot technologies.
Familiarity with modern infrastructure management and observability tools.
Strong business acumen and ability to align technology strategy with organizational goals.
Occasional travel (up to 10%) to regional offices, client, and vendor sites.

Certain states require us to disclose the pay range and benefits summary for job openings. For Colorado residents, the compensation range for this position: $226,800 - $266,800. For Washington residents, Illinois residents, New York residents, and Southern California residents, the compensation range for this position: $249,500 - $293,500. For Northern California residents, the compensation range for this position: $260,800 - $306,800. Compensation may vary based on skills, role, and location. Eligible employees at certain levels can participate in a discretionary long-term financial incentive plan, subject to plan participation rules.
