Role Summary
The Director, Core HCP Products leads the strategy, development, and delivery of Pfizer's core HCP digital products, primarily PfizerPro and other owned HCP properties. Reporting to the Sr. Director, HCP Products, this role combines product strategy with hands-on product ownership: it defines what the core HCP experience should be and is accountable for translating that into shipped product that performs against clear business and experience objectives.
This is a role for someone who can think in big-picture strategy and drive hands-on execution. The Director defines the core clinician personas and the experiences that serve them, decides which features the surface should prioritize, owns the HCP product roadmap, and manages the end-to-end lifecycle from definition through launch. They partner across UX, Operations, and Strategy to deliver a coherent, high-quality clinician experience, and operate as part of the wider product community across DPX, sharing standards and practice with product leaders on Consumer and other surfaces.
Role Responsibilities
Product Strategy & Definition
  • Define the core clinician personas for Pfizer's HCP surface and the value propositions, north stars, and KPIs that determine what a successful experience looks like for each.
  • Decide which features and capabilities the core HCP products should prioritize, translating clinician insight, market and competitive analysis, and user research into clear product direction.
  • Map key clinician journeys across PfizerPro and other owned HCP properties, identifying pain points and friction and defining the experiences that resolve them in service of business outcomes.
  • Champion human-centered design methodology to ensure product decisions are grounded in real clinician needs rather than assumption or internal preference.

Product Ownership & Delivery
  • Own and execute the HCP product roadmap for PfizerPro and other owned HCP properties, ensuring alignment with HCP and DPX strategy, business objectives, and clinician needs.
  • Manage the end-to-end product development lifecycle, including planning, definition, design, development, testing, and launch, and represent the voice of the customer and the business in product and feature decisions.
  • Use prototypes to test, learn, and iterate rapidly, moving from concept to validated direction with speed.
  • Consolidate international market needs and therapeutic-area requirements into the core product roadmap, so the surface serves clinicians across markets and brands by design rather than through retrofit.
  • Coordinate delivery with the development team to keep launches on schedule and ensure products ship to quality and against defined KPIs, identifying risks and removing roadblocks to enable successful delivery.
  • Define, instrument, and track the success metrics for the HCP surface, making evidence-based product decisions and holding the roadmap accountable to measurable outcomes.
  • Work with UX to codify and uphold experience standards, ensuring the core HCP experience is consistent, high-quality, and built on the shared design system.
  • Partner with Operations on launch sequencing, MLR coordination, and release management so product velocity is sustained through delivery without compromising compliance or quality.
  • Apply AI-enabled product and design tools (e.g. Adobe Target, Claude Design, Figma Make) to accelerate the path from concept to testable product, and build products that leverage AI capability rather than merely support it.
  • Maintain current knowledge of digital product management practice, emerging technologies, and the regulatory complexity (MLR) specific to HCP audiences.

Basic Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • 8+ years of experience across product management and product strategy, with a proven record of both defining product direction and owning digital products end to end, from definition through launch and iteration, preferably on complex digital platforms.
  • Deep expertise in journey mapping, persona definition, and human-centered design.
  • Strong analytical approach to decision-making, including the ability to conduct root-cause analysis to solve the underlying problem rather than the symptom, define success metrics, and make critical product calls from evidence.
  • Demonstrated fluency with AI-enabled product, design, and prototyping tools, and a point of view on what AI makes buildable now.
  • Familiarity with Agile methodologies and experience working in an Agile development environment; working knowledge of Lean Startup.
  • Proven ability to lead cross-functional initiatives, identify risks, and remove roadblocks to deliver on time and to standard.
  • Courage to provide objective opinions, particularly when making go/no-go product decisions.
  • Strong writing, presentation, and influencing skills.
  • Discretion and trustworthiness in dealing with confidential information.
  • Role model for the PFE Values (Courage, Excellence, Equity, Joy).

Preferred Qualifications
  • Deep understanding of the healthcare ecosystem and HCP/clinician engagement, with familiarity with MLR review and regulated digital delivery.
  • Experience launching and landing products with external partners and platforms.
  • Experience delivering digital products across multiple geographies; flexibility to work with the US time zone on a regular basis.
  • Experience launching or scaling disruptive, customer-centric digital products.
  • Candidate demonstrates a breadth of diverse leadership experiences and capabilities including: the ability to influence and collaborate with peers, develop and coach others, oversee and guide the work of other colleagues to achieve meaningful outcomes and create business impact.
