About your role:

Finxact is a cutting-edge enterprise-class 100 percent open API cloud-native innovation platform and transaction processing engine. It is agnostic to asset classes, currencies, and time zones, catering to banking, fintech, and embedded finance sectors. Finxact offers scalability with adaptiveness to change, harnessing the cloud's resiliency and elasticity to design and launch new products with agility and precision without technology upheaval.

A successful Conversions Director leads the critical transformation of client data to the Finxact core banking platform, providing strategic oversight and technical expertise. They foster a high-performing team environment, drive process improvements, and ensure seamless, secure, and accurate conversions from legacy systems. This role is key to supporting financial institutions in their digital transformation journey.

What you’ll do:

• Oversee and coordinate client data conversion activities, ensuring all milestones are met within scope and schedule.
• Manage the full conversion lifecycle, from planning and mock testing to go-live execution and post-conversion support.
• Lead and support a cross-functional team, offering guidance, setting priorities, and promoting a collaborative environment.
• Define and maintain standardized processes, templates, and tools to streamline conversion efforts.
• Act as the main point of contact for internal and external stakeholders, providing updates and facilitating decision-making.
• Ensure high standards of data integrity through comprehensive testing, validation, and readiness for production cutover.
• Oversee post-conversion performance, supporting issue resolution, and optimizing efficiency.

Experience you’ll need to have:

• 8+ years of experience in project or team leadership roles within banking, fintech, or financial services.
• Solid understanding of core banking systems, payment processing, and data conversion methodologies.
• Experience leading cross-functional teams and coordinating with internal departments and external stakeholders.
• Proficiency with project management and collaboration tools (e.g., JIRA, Confluence, MS Project, Trello).
• Bachelor's degree in information technology, Computer Science, Finance, or a related field, and/or equivalent military experience.

Experience that would be great to have:

• Experience overseeing conversions to or from core banking platforms (e.g., Finxact, FIS, Fiserv, Jack Henry, Temenos).
• Knowledge of API-driven systems and modern banking architecture.
• Familiarity with financial compliance and data security standards (e.g., PCI-DSS, SOC 2, GLBA, ISO 20022).
• Certifications such as PMP, PRINCE2, or Scrum Master.
• Hands-on experience in banking software (Temenos, FIS, Fiserv, ACI, etc.).
