The Director of Content, Narrative & GTM Enablement at Monstro will create and oversee content strategy, develop narratives for institutional banking leaders, and establish the company as a credible authority in AI-driven banking. About Monstro

Monstro is the operating system for governed financial intelligence. We build governance and intelligence infrastructure that enables artificial intelligence to operate safely, explainably, and at institutional scale.

We exist because the level of financial guidance historically available to a small group should be accessible to many more people. By combining AI with deep institutional infrastructure, we help financial institutions deliver more personalized, responsible, and life-changing financial support to millions of individuals.

We’re building mission-critical systems in a highly regulated domain, and we care deeply about doing it right. If you’re motivated by meaningful problems, high standards, and shaping infrastructure that improves financial outcomes, you’ll feel at home here.

About the Role

Monstro is hiring a senior, hands-on content and narrative leader to establish the company as a credible authority in AI-driven banking transformation—starting from zero public presence.

Today, Monstro has no website, published content, or established external visibility. This role exists to change that deliberately, calmly, and credibly. This role is also responsible for helping define and establish a new category in institutional AI, shaping how banking leaders understand the problem, why it matters now, and why existing approaches fall short.

The focus is not traffic, lead volume, or traditional marketing funnels. The focus is institutional credibility that directly supports executive-level go-to-market conversations with banks and financial institutions.

At Monstro, content is treated as sales-adjacent infrastructure, not marketing output.

This is an individual contributor role that combines editorial judgment, narrative ownership, and close partnership with founders and executives.

Why This Role Matters

Monstro operates in highly regulated, high-stakes environments where clarity and credibility are prerequisites for engagement.

Before institutions are willing to explore pilots, partnerships, or product depth, they need confidence that Monstro understands their world—how banks think about risk, AI adoption, economics, and operational constraints.

This role ensures that when banks encounter Monstro—through content, outreach, conferences, or follow-up materials—they encounter sound judgment, institutional fluency, and clear, grounded thinking.

Success is measured by the quality and effectiveness of conversations this work enables, not by impressions, clicks, or engagement metrics.

What You’ll Do

Content Strategy & Thought Leadership

  • Define and own Monstro’s content strategy from scratch
  • Translate internal thinking into clear, executive-level insight for institutional audiences
  • Define and articulate Monstro’s points of view across core themes including:
    • AI and risk in regulated banking environments
    • Data economics and the real costs of AI at scale
    • Wealth management at scale versus human-led advice
    • Why personalization efforts break down in practice
  • Ensure all content reflects a deep, credible understanding of how institutional banking leaders think and operate
  • Maintain an institution-first, insight-led, non-promotional standard across all content

Executive Voice & Narrative Development

  • Partner closely with founders and leadership to:
    • Shape points of view and external narratives
    • Edit raw thinking into clear, consistent messaging
    • Maintain a calm, credible institutional voice
  • Act as an editorial partner to executives—not a copywriter
  • Help refine how Monstro explains:
    • The problem being solved
    • Why it matters now
    • Why existing approaches fall short
    • What an “intelligence-first” approach means in practice

Narrative Ownership & Orchestration

  • Own Monstro’s external narrative end-to-end across content, GTM materials, conferences, and executive conversations
  • Identify when external support is needed (consultants, agencies, contractors) and bring it in as appropriate
  • Remain accountable for narrative quality and consistency regardless of execution source

Social Presence

  • Build Monstro’s initial social presence with a thoughtful, expert, institutional tone
  • Define cadence and formats such as posts, short essays, and point-of-view pieces
  • Ensure content feels:
    • Personal but not casual
    • Opinionated but grounded
    • Insightful rather than reactive
  • Avoid hype, announcements, and engagement-driven tactics

Website & Core GTM Assets

  • Lead narrative and content development for Monstro’s first website
  • Ensure the site:
    • Clearly communicates who Monstro is for
    • Frames the institutional problem with clarity
    • Positions Monstro as intelligence-first, not app-first
  • Partner with leadership, product, and design to develop:
    • A concise GTM deck for executive conversations
    • Pilot framing documents that set clear expectations
    • Demo storytelling assets (e.g., prototypes, videos, mock insights) that support discussion, not feature selling

Conferences & External Presence

  • Help define Monstro’s approach to conferences and external forums:
    • Which events are worth attending
    • Why they matter
    • What success looks like
  • Support narrative alignment, executive talking points, and follow-ups tied to active GTM momentum
  • Ensure external presence reinforces credibility and real conversations, not passive awareness
What Success Looks Like
  • Monstro moves from zero external presence to credible recognition among target bank executives
  • Content is referenced naturally in sales and executive conversations
  • Go-to-market discussions feel warmer, more informed, and more efficient
  • Website, decks, and materials reduce explanation overhead
  • Monstro feels “known” before deep engagement begins
  • Bank executives reference Monstro’s thinking unprompted in conversations
  • Discussions shift from “Who is Monstro?” to “How does this fit into our roadmap?”
What We’re Looking For
  • Demonstrated ability to build a content and narrative strategy from the ground up
  • Strong editorial judgment and a high bar for clarity and substance
  • Deep understanding of enterprise or institutional audiences, ideally in fintech, SaaS, or regulated industries
  • Comfort working directly with founders and senior leaders
  • Ability to translate complex ideas into clear, credible insight
  • Calm, thoughtful communication style—not hype-driven
Why Monstro?
  • Ownership & Impact: Shape the future of AI-powered finance—building a category-defining product used by consumers and institutions around the world.
  • Elite Team: Join a team with leadership that has a track record of scaling companies from early stage to major exits.
  • Principles-Driven Culture: Work in a culture that values speed, ownership, and impact—what most companies achieve in 90 days, we do in 45.
  • Comprehensive Compensation Package: Competitive salary, equity, and robust benefits package, including paid health, vision, dental, and disability coverage.

Base Compensation Range for New York City: $172,000 - $215,000

*The posted range reflects the base salary for this role across the market ranges for each location. Final compensation will depend on a variety of factors, including experience, skills, internal leveling, and market conditions, and will be offered within the stated range in accordance with applicable pay transparency laws.
