Job DescriptionTeam Summary
The Product organization drives consumer and commercial product innovation and development for Visa in China. The group identifies, prioritizes, and builds alliances and solutions for new products, platforms, and market segment penetration.
The Consumer Solutions team focuses on designing and integrating Visa’s product solutions and benefits into digital platforms and end-to-end mobile experiences, enabling superior value propositions for consumers. This role aims to drive clients’ preference for Visa as a strategic partner and enabler of superior value propositions for digitally enabled consumers.
What a Director, Consumer Solutions - Strategic Project Lead does at Visa:
Strategic Leadership
- Lead and deliver market Big Rocks Initiatives in FY26 especially on Dual Currency Dual Brand chip enablement and Applepay. Drive seamless execution of product initiatives to achieve annual scorecard targets, including Dual Currency Dual Brand card conversion rate and Applepay provision & PV.
- Oversee client-level product strategy and key initiative progress for Eastern China and Part of Southern China clients.
- Lead the annual benefit platform development and Dual Currency Dual Brand card baseline offer enhancement to strengthen Visa’s affluent value proposition
Product & Market Development
- Act as subject matter expert on major Visa consumer solutions (Tap-to-Pay, Applepay, etc.), also participate in agile new product/solution development workstreams and roll out to clients.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Partner with Marketing, Client Relationship Management, Consulting teams to design and deliver key strategic projects.
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure timely execution of product strategies and initiatives.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with product and business contacts at client organizations.
Market Insights & Analysis
- Conduct market research to identify affluent segment opportunities and competitive threats.
- Provide in-depth analysis and consultancy to enhance client product offerings and drive KPIs such as CIF (cards in force) and transaction volume.

- Professional Experience: Minimum 12 years of experience in strategic product roles within the consumer solutions sector, ideally in card schemes, fintech, internet, or issuing banks
- Proven track record in managing digital deployment initiatives, digital payment solutions, loyalty/rewards systems, and partnership development
- Proven track record in product led growth (growing either usage or acquisition through channels)
- Strategic Thinking: Demonstrated ability to think strategically and develop long-term plans. Strong analytical skills and the ability to make data-driven decisions.
- Product Strategy: Proven experience in developing and implementing successful product strategies. Familiar with product management principles and methodologies.
- Leadership Skills: Exceptional leadership and team management abilities. Experience in leading cross-functional teams and driving results.
- Strong client engagement and relationship management skills
- Excellent bilingual (English & Mandarin) written, verbal, and presentation skills
- Financial Acumen: Understanding of financial management principles and experience in managing budgets.
- Ability to deliver high-quality outputs in a fast-paced, multi-tasking environment.
- International and domestic travel required
