Job Description

The Position

We are currently recruiting for a Director, Consumer Marketing - US Dermatology.

Reporting to the Executive Director, US Dermatology Marketing, the Consumer Marketing Director will lead the strategic direction, planning, and execution of Direct-to-Consumer Marketing across the US Dermatology portfolio, encompassing both Atopic Dermatitis/Eczema and Plaque Psoriasis indications. This role will drive the evolution of Organon’s Dermatology consumer strategy—shaping how we reach and engage Patients and Caregivers through a social-first, digital-first approach, developing insight-driven campaigns, and leading the delivery of high-impact omnichannel experiences.

This position requires a seasoned, innovative leader with deep Consumer Marketing expertise (required), proven ability to craft and operationalize campaign strategy, experience managing large budgets, and a strong track record in campaign development and cross-functional leadership. We are looking for a true consumer pro—whether from Pharmaceuticals/Dermatology or from OTC, Beauty, CPG, or other consumer-focused industries.

This role requires a blend of strategic vision, analytical rigor, and creative excellence. The ideal candidate will be a modern marketer—skilled at using insights, data, and innovation to shape consumer behavior and brand preference, fluent in social platforms and creator-led content, and motivated to reimagine how we connect with patients and caregivers in today’s dynamic digital landscape. In addition, this person is collaborative and relationship-oriented, partnering closely with HCP Marketing, Market Access, and Sales.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the strategic development of the annual Consumer Marketing plan for U.S. Dermatology, including insight generation, Patient and Caregiver segmentation, journey mapping, positioning, and executional excellence.
  • Champion a social-first, digital-first approach, building always-on social, creator/influencer, search, Connected TV, and programmatic strategies that meet consumers where they are, with traditional channels used selectively.
  • Own end-to-end campaign leadership, from strategy through creative development and omnichannel activation across paid, owned, and earned channels.
  • Shape the consumer identity and messaging platform across Atopic Dermatitis and Psoriasis, including tailored messaging for adults and parents/caregivers, ensuring clear differentiation and insight-driven storytelling aligned with the product value proposition.
  • Develop and lead Consumer Medicaid strategy, partnering with Market Access and Payer Marketing to ensure consumer engagement, messaging, and patient support reflect payer and coverage dynamics and help patients access therapy.
  • Partner cross-functionally with HCP Marketing, Sales, Strategic Relations/Peer-to-Peer, Market Access/Payer Marketing, Medical Affairs, Patient Services, Digital, and Analytics to ensure integrated, mutually reinforcing patient and provider engagement.
  • Manage large budgets and lead agency partners (media, creative, social) to deliver high-quality work and measurable ROI, including forecasting, reallocation, and performance accountability.
  • Establish KPIs and measurement frameworks that link consumer activity to business outcomes, leveraging analytics, attribution, and test-and-learn approaches to drive continuous optimization.
  • Collaborate with Market Research & Insights to identify emerging trends, consumer needs, and message and performance optimization opportunities.
  • Support patient advocacy partnerships and disease-awareness initiatives that build trust and engagement with patient communities.
  • Serve as the consumer marketing lead on cross-brand initiatives, representing Dermatology in enterprise forums and integrated planning discussions.
  • Coach and develop team members (direct and indirect), fostering a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement.
  • Ensure timely and compliant execution through MLR (Veeva PromoMats) processes, maintaining excellence in content review and approval.

Required Education, Experience & Skills

  • BA/BS
  • Minimum 10 years of marketing experience, with at least 5 years in consumer marketing (Pharma, Dermatology, OTC, Healthcare, Beauty, CPG, or similar consumer industry)
  • Proven success developing and launching consumer campaigns with a social-first, digital-first approach
  • Experience managing budgets and agency partners across media, creative, and social
  • Demonstrated success leading strategic and tactical planning for in-line or launch brands
  • Strong leadership and collaboration skills, with ability to influence across commercial, medical, market access, and corporate functions
  • Excellent communication, analytical, and problem-solving capabilities
  • Experience navigating regulated review processes (e.g., MLR/Veeva PromoMats, or comparable legal and regulatory review)
  • Willingness to travel as needed
  • Preferred Education, Experience & Skills:
  • MBA or advanced business degree
  • Prior people management experience (this person will have at least one direct report)
  • Experience with Medicaid, market access, or payer marketing, including patient access and savings programs
  • Dermatology, Immunology, or chronic disease marketing experience (Plaque Psoriasis and/or Atopic Dermatitis/Eczema), or skincare/beauty category experience
  • Experience marketing across multiple indications or patient populations, including pediatric and caregiver audiences
  • Strong analytical and storytelling skills; experience with marketing analytics, attribution, and omnichannel measurement
