About the role:

This is a critical role supporting the Global Conferences Sales (Global Exhibitor Sales/Gartner C-Level Communities) team with their mission critical priorities, accelerated revenue growth, productivity improvements and organizational expansion. 

This role will be a part of the Conferences Sales Operations team and will be responsible for driving conferences growth and scalability through improved analytics, optimizing processes and leveraging technology. 

What you will do:

  • Prepare insightful executive-level analytics and presentation materials for senior leaders to support leadership and Sales Operations Reviews including Global Leadership Team, Ops Reviews and Sales regional reviews.

  • Understand business results and sales workflows and focus on areas of importance and improvement and recommend/implement changes; align with Conferences Sales Operations and Global Exhibitor Sales (GES) priorities

  • Identify areas of risk and opportunity to enhance Sales insights and processes

  • Support annual territory planning, & quota setting and quota changes for mid-year hires

  • End-to-end responsibility for monthly exhibitor forecast and annual YET process

  • Validate large operational data sets to develop KPIs, analytical dashboards to improve decision making that drives business performance

  • Collaborate with various teams within Conferences business unit on cross-functional projects

  • Manage monthly reporting (stacks, Client Connect forecast, productivity and GLE)

  • Establish and build strong relationships with GES leadership team and senior leaders across Conferences and other key business unit partners (e.g., Variable Compensation, FP&A)

  • Execute on ad-hoc operational data requests

  • Support CRM/tools identification and capture needs & define requirements to optimize processes (including Salesforce) to drive sales and Sales Operations productivity

What you will need:

  • Bachelor's degree required, Masters/MBA is a plus

  • 10+ years of business experience in Sales, FP&A, or Business Operations role; Experience with Salesforce is a plus

  • Exceptional analytical skills

  • Excellent communication skills with all levels of an organization.  Ability to distill large amounts/complex information into a concise message

  • Independent thinking and complex problem-solving skills

  • Proven success operating as a business partner and leader

  • Strong proficiency in Excel and Powerpoint

Gartner believes in fair and equitable pay. A reasonable estimate of the base salary range for this role is 120,000 USD - 167,000 USD. Please note that actual salaries may vary within the range, or be above or below the range, based on factors including, but not limited to, education, training, experience, professional achievement, business need, and location. In addition to base salary, employees will participate in either an annual bonus plan based on company and individual performance, or a role-based, uncapped sales incentive plan. Our talent acquisition team will provide the specific opportunity on our bonus or incentive programs to eligible candidates. We also offer market leading benefit programs including generous PTO, a 401k match up to $7,200 per year, the opportunity to purchase company stock at a discount, and more.
