Under the direction of the CFO, the Director of Compliance will help maintain and enhance the organization's Anti-Money Laundering (AML) program by supporting risk assessments, strengthening controls, and ensuring alignment with regulatory expectations. They will oversee the risk framework by monitoring risks, evaluating controls, and ensuring suspicious activity is identified and reported promptly. The Director will lead and develop compliance with staff while supporting tailored, effective AML training across the organization. Overall, they will promote a strong culture of compliance and ensure the AML program remains robust, risk aligned, and continuously improving according to FinCEN's AML laws and regulations. This position reports directly to the Chief Financial Officer (CFO).
Essential Functions:- Responsible for practicing, supporting, and promoting North Fork Mono Casino's culture and always demonstrating exemplary Service Standards.
- Review all Compliance procedures required by the NIGC, Gaming Commission and North Fork Mono Casino's System of Internal Controls that are not performed as part of a daily audit.
- Lead and develop compliance staff, manage resources and staffing needs, and oversee day-to-day compliance operations and work quality.
- Design, implement, and continuously enhance the AML program while ensuring alignment with regulatory expectations, risk assessments, and internal controls.
- Oversee monitoring processes, quality reviews, investigations, and ensure accurate and timely Suspicious Activity Reports (SARs) and Currency Transaction Reports (CTRs) filings and other required reporting.
- Identify and assess key risks, evaluate control performance, and ensure policies, procedures, and processes are effective, efficient, and well documented.
- Ensure AML training is role based and effective while promoting a strong, collaborative culture of compliance across the organization.
- Monitor regulatory changes, ensure timely program updates, manage audits, resolve findings, and maintain relationships with regulators and law enforcement.
- Conduct periodic program reviews, identify gaps, drive continuous improvement, and ensure processes produce desired outcomes.
- Prepare all exceptions for any errors found because of the audits and ensure that proper responses are received on all audit exceptions.
- Perform walkthroughs of gaming areas, utilizing approved questionnaires to ensure that Team Members are properly trained and understand all required procedures.
- Prepare weekly report for the CFO outlining audits performed and exceptions found.
- Assist Department Heads with training in problem areas.
- Responsible for correspondence with the Tribal Gaming Commission
- Ensure the direction given by Station Casinos compliance department is followed.
- Follow supervisory responsibilities in accordance with North Fork Mono Casino's policies.
- Interview, hire and train Team Members; plan, assign, review and direct work.
- Evaluate and appraise performance; reward and discipline Team Members; address complaints and resolving problems.
- Performs other duties as assigned to support the efficient operation of the department.
- Ability to communicate effectively with Guests, Team Members and Management in both written and verbal form.
- Strong understanding of accounting, gaming and regulatory requirements including but not limited to Title 31 and Minimum Internal Control Standards (MICS).
- Ability to work independently.

- Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Accounting or related field required; Related, relevant, and/or direct experience may be considered in lieu of minimum educational requirements.
- Minimum of five (5) years' experience in a gaming or regulatory compliance monitoring environment with an emphasis on Title 31 (BSA) and AML regulations with three (3) of these years in a supervisory position required.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a Gaming License from the Tribal Gaming Commission, which includes passing a background investigation.
- Must be at least 21 years of age.
- All work is performed on site in Madera, CA.
- Requires manual dexterity to perform job related functions.
- Ability to sit, stand or walk for the duration of their shift.
Team Members will be in constant contact with fellow Team Members and Guests. Work includes the maintenance and care of the assigned work area. Work is typically performed in an office environment. However, work may be in an area, which may be unusually hot, cold, noisy, and may contain secondhand smoke. Work may be performed in a confined area. Work may be scheduled at various hours, including working overtime, and during evening, weekends, and holidays. Work may entail trained chemical usage. Work is in a high volume, fast paced environment with frequent interruptions.

Skills Required
- Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Accounting or related field (or equivalent relevant experience)
- Minimum five (5) years' experience in gaming or regulatory compliance monitoring with emphasis on Title 31 (BSA) and AML regulations

What We Do
North Fork Mono Casino & Resort is a new entertainment destination opening in Fall 2026 in Madera, California, on Highway 99. The resort will feature over 2,400 slot machines, 40 table games, and eight dining options, including two full-service restaurants and six quick-serve venues, serving as a hub for gaming and hospitality in the Central Valley.
