About the team

This role sits within the Sales Strategy and Operations Department at Angi. This is a high performing team with responsibility for guiding the various pro-facing Sales teams across Angi, as well as pro- and homeowner-facing Care teams.  

What you’ll do

Angi is seeking a highly analytical, strategic, and process driven Director of Commissions that reports to the VP of Sales and Care Rep Operations. In this role you will own strategy development, execution, and oversight of incentive compensation plans across all applicable Sales and Care teams across Angi. You will hire, manage, and develop high-performing operational leaders as we scale this function across the business. You will be responsible for identifying gaps and realizing opportunities. This is a unique and high-visibility opportunity to work directly with leadership teams across the company to solve challenging problems. Specific responsibilities include the following:

  • Identify and prioritize compensation opportunities - understand the org-wide compensation landscape and use a framework-based approach to select the highest value opportunities
  • Own plan design - in coordination with leadership, set overall compensation strategy, define plan components, and develop metrics to measure success across all areas
  • Drive goal setting processes - execute processes to set, distribute, analyze, and adjust goals as needed across all teams
  • Lead payment calculations - translate plans, goals, and individual and team performance data through highly accurate and timely payment calculations
  • Analyze commissions performance data - assemble inputs, build reporting and dashboards, and derive and communicate insights around the performance of the compensation department broadly
  • Ensure cross-functional coordination and alignment - Work with teams across Angi to gather necessary inputs, solicit feedback, analyze and communicate performance, and ensure all needs are met across stakeholders including Sales, Care, Finance, Accounting, HR, Legal, Product, IT, and more
  • Lead a high-performing team - build an organizational structure to support commissions goals, hire and develop team members, and maintain high standards for execution across the department

Who you are

  • Highly detailed, analytical, strategic, and ambitious candidates, with a desire to grow
  • 8-10 years of professional experience, including at least 3-5 years specifically working in commissions management
  • Experience with commissions modeling approaches
  • Familiarity with the commissions technology landscape (e.g. to automate processes, reporting, approval flows)
  • Experience in an analytical environment such as management consulting, finance, or tech preferred, but not required
  • MBA preferred, but not required
  • Structured thinkers, with strong organizational and communication skills, both oral and written
  • Creative problem solvers with the ability to identify real obstacles and viable solutions
  • Comfort with change and willingness to adapt to a fast-paced work environment
  • Team player

Compensation & Benefits

  • The salary band for this position ranges from $170,000 - $210,000 commensurate with experience and performance. Compensation may vary based on factors such as cost of living. 
  • This position will be eligible for a competitive year end performance bonus & equity package.
