YOUR ROLE
The Director, Commercial Transactions Attorney serves as the primary legal owner for CareScout’s growth strategy across B2B, B2C, and B2B2C channels by providing legal guidance on commercial relationships and go‑to‑market initiatives. This is a senior, business‑embedded role with independent authority to structure, negotiate, and approve complex legal arrangements.
What you will be doing
- Act as the lead legal advisor for commercial initiatives, including:
- Enterprise and channel partnerships, including relationships with insurance carriers and affinity groups
- End‑to‑end legal ownership of CareScout’s aging care provider relationships, from onboarding and contracting through ongoing governance, issue resolution, and evolution of the relationship.
- Strategic alliances, pilots, and new revenue models
- Draft, negotiate, and manage commercial agreements, including MSAs, SOWs, amendments, and partnership frameworks
- Advise business teams on go‑to‑market strategy, pricing structures, incentives, and customer engagement models
- Provide legal guidance on marketing, advertising, and customer‑facing content to ensure compliance with consumer protection and regulatory requirements
- Support the launch of new customer offerings, including review of scripts, websites, onboarding materials, and training content
- Address customer‑related regulatory issues, inquiries, and escalations in partnership with Compliance
- Balance commercial enablement with regulatory rigor to ensure growth initiatives are scalable and defensible
- Develop templates, playbooks, and standard approaches to improve speed, consistency, and risk management
- Serve as a trusted advisor to Sales, Marketing, and Business Development leaders
What you bring
- Juris Doctor and active bar membership in at least one U.S. jurisdiction.
- Typically 10+ years of legal experience, with significant experience in commercial contracting and customer‑facing matters.
- Experience supporting B2B and/or B2C businesses in highly regulated environments
