Job Description Summary:
The Director, Commercial Strategy & Operations leads a large portfolio within the U.S. Juice and Warehouse RTM business, including high-profile brands such as Simply, Minute Maid, and Gold Peak. This role develops and executes category-specific commercial strategies that integrate consumer insights, category dynamics, and customer needs to position the portfolio for market leadership.
In addition to shaping the business strategy, the Director oversees the annual commercialization and sample planning process for U.S. innovations, ensuring flawless execution from concept to launch. Success in this role demands strategic vision, operational discipline, and strong cross-functional influence.
What You’ll Do for Us
Develop and implement integrated commercial strategies that align with consumer needs, category growth, and customer profitability.
Serve as the strategic and operational liaison between brand, revenue growth management, channel strategy, and supply chain teams to maximize category performance.
Collaborate with Channel & Customer Strategy to translate category strategies into actionable channel and customer plans.
Define and execute AMPS (Availability, Merchandising, Pricing, Space) strategies for optimal product presence and performance.
Lead SKU productivity, order-of-entry planning, and portfolio performance assessments to drive balanced top- and bottom-line growth.
Oversee market insights, competitive analysis, and forecasting to anticipate trends and inform proactive strategies.
Drive the commercialization of innovations, from concept through in-market execution, with clear roadmaps, timelines, and budgets.
Lead the annual innovation sample process, ensuring deployment supports customer engagement and product launch success.
Align brand strategies with customer requirements and market realities.
Track and ensure compliance with in-market execution, adjusting as needed to meet customer and shopper expectations.
Lead milestone routines to review performance and maintain alignment across brand, sales, and category teams.
Identify cost efficiencies, process improvements, and new growth opportunities.
Qualifications & Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or related field required; MBA preferred.
7+ years of leadership in commercial strategy, RGM, category management, sales, or brand marketing within beverage or CPG.
Proven track record managing complex product portfolios in competitive categories.
Ability to balance strategic objectives with operational execution.
Strong skills in translating insights and data into actionable strategies.
Experience driving initiatives to maximize SKU productivity, profitability, and growth.
Exceptional collaboration skills with ability to influence across all levels.
Proficient in pricing, promotional strategy, category management, and shopper insights.
Skilled in Power BI, Nielsen, IRI/Matrix, Transformer/TPM, and forecasting tools.
Knowledge of AMPS principles and their operational application.
