Director, Commercial Management, OEM

This role will be accountable for our sourcing, negotiating, developing and managing our strategic supplier relationships.
About this roll* (Responsibilities)
- Own strategy and relationship development with multiple OEM & distribution partners, globally (printers, networking, handhelds, terminals, card readers, other critical Toast hardware)
- Partner closely with R&D & Product teams to define the OEM hardware roadmap and create sourcing strategies to enable favorable supply, cost, and support terms
- Develop OEM & distributor hardware sourcing strategies to deliver against business and engineering objectives to achieve sustainable relationships with strategic suppliers
- Analyze industry trends and evolving technology to proactively identify supply base opportunities to minimize risk, protect continuity of supply, optimize cost, and utilize industry developments that benefit Toast
- Help develop long-term OEM supply strategies and significantly influence Product roadmaps & decisions by working closely with suppliers, Toast hardware research & development teams, and operations as well as, finance, legal, and others
- Analyze and determine cost reduction opportunities by leveraging volumes, optimizing the supplier base and reducing total cost of ownership
- Make optimal trade-offs between schedule, resources, and scope, and apply advanced technical and business knowledge to address major risks, challenges, and obstacles
- Leverage your expertise to build supplier relationships and architect agreements to support Toast’s growing product portfolio, internationally.
- Make responsible sourcing decisions that consider customer security, time to market, technology benefit, quality and cost
Do you have the right ingredients*? (Requirements)
- 8+ years of progressive experience in Supply Chain, Strategic Sourcing, Business Operations and/ or Operations management
- Previous experience in a HW manufacturing environment, HW OEM & Distribution
- Excellent negotiation and relationship management skills
- Strong analytical and critical thinking skills
- Superior written and oral communication and collaboration skills
- Excellent listening and comprehension skills.
- Must demonstrate attention to detail, grasp the big picture and be highly analytical.
- Ability to analyze technical, financial, and operational data
- Strong project management and planning skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities
- Proven ability to work effectively in a dynamic, changing environment and to adapt while focusing on key goals and objectives
Special Sauce* (Nonessential Skills/Nice to Haves)
- Experience with Managing Manufacturers & Distributors in computing space
- Packaging, Electronics and Mechanical sourcing experience
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, science, business, or similar technical field

The base salary range for this role is listed below. The starting salary will be determined based on skills and experience. In addition to base salary, our total rewards components include cash compensation (overtime, bonus/commissions if eligible), equity, and benefits.
Pay Range
$152,000—$243,000 USD
