Role Overview
The Director of Cloud Products will be responsible for architecting and operationalizing the foundation that powers Morse Micro’s device, data, and cloud ecosystems. This role will define the technical strategy, architecture patterns, and operating models for the cloud platform, ensuring scalability, reliability, and security across the company’s software and data infrastructure.
You will lead a cross-functional team spanning cloud infrastructure, platform services, data & AI pipelines, and integration frameworks, enabling our device intelligence and partner ecosystem to thrive.

Responsibilities include

  • Define the overall cloud and platform architecture, including microservices patterns, event-driven systems, and hybrid edge/cloud integration models.
  • Develop reference architectures, reusable patterns, and operational blueprints.
  • Build and evolve a unified platform supporting device connectivity, video/AI pipelines, data ingestion, analytics, and developer enablement.
  • Champion best practices for scalability, fault tolerance, and cost efficiency.
  • Oversee design and orchestration of high-performance data pipelines for IoT telemetry, computer vision, and machine learning workloads.
  • Enable real-time data analytics and AI-driven insights.
  • Define and enforce security posture, IAM frameworks, and data protection standards.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant industry and privacy standards.
  • Drive the integration of internal systems, third-party tools, and partner platforms through APIs and event buses.
  • Support ecosystem interoperability and developer APIs.
  • Partner closely with Product, Hardware, and Software Engineering teams to ensure platform alignment with company strategy.
  • Build and mentor a world-class platform engineering organization.

Qualifications / Experience / Skills

  • 12+ years of experience in software/platform engineering, with 5+ years in leadership roles.
  • Proven track record architecting and scaling secure, cloud-native platforms.
  • Deep expertise in AWS ecosystem and modern infrastructure-as-code practices.
  • Experience building and operationalizing data & AI platforms.
  • Strong understanding of IoT, edge computing, and real-time data systems.
  • Exceptional leadership, communication, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
  • Prior experience in semiconductor, wireless, or IoT domains is highly desirable.
