Director of Clinical Services – Rehabilitation

Lead rehabilitation services across Epworth’s Continuing Care division

A senior leadership opportunity to drive clinical excellence, service performance and patient outcomes across Epworth’s rehabilitation services. This role sits on the Continuing Care & Support Services Executive Leadership Team and plays a key role in shaping the future of rehabilitation care.

The Opportunity

Reporting to the Executive General Manager, Continuing Care & Support Services, you will lead the clinical, operational and strategic delivery of rehabilitation services across multiple sites.

You will be accountable for clinical governance, workforce leadership, service performance and patient experience across the division.

Key responsibilities:

  • Provide strong clinical leadership across rehabilitation services, ensuring safe, high-quality and patient-centred care
  • Lead and develop nursing and multidisciplinary teams, fostering a high-performing and engaged workforce
  • Drive clinical governance, quality improvement and risk management frameworks
  • Deliver on key KPIs across patient outcomes, safety, workforce, finance and service performance
  • Optimise patient flow, access and length of stay outcomes
  • Partner with VMOs and executive stakeholders to enhance service delivery and growth
  • Lead business development initiatives, including new programs and service expansion
  • Oversee workforce planning, education and professional development strategy

Qualifications

About You

Qualifications

  • Registered Nurse with current AHPRA registration
  • Postgraduate qualification in leadership, management or related discipline

Experience & capability
You are an experienced senior healthcare leader with a strong background in rehabilitation or acute care. You bring strong expertise in clinical governance, quality and risk, with a proven ability to lead large multidisciplinary teams across complex environments.

You operate confidently at an executive level, with strong commercial acumen and the ability to drive performance, service growth and innovation. You build trusted relationships with medical staff and stakeholders and are recognised for leading sustainable change.

Skills Required

  • Registered Nurse with current AHPRA registration

  • Expertise in clinical governance, quality improvement and risk management
  • Experience leading large multidisciplinary teams and workforce planning

  • Ability to build and maintain relationships with VMOs and executive stakeholders
  • Satisfactory National Police Check and, where applicable, a Working with Children Check
  • Annual influenza vaccination where required under Epworth policy
  • Willingness/ability to work across multiple Epworth rehabilitation sites
