Job Profile Summary:

Directs all aspects of an organization's logistics management function to control, deliver, and distribute products and materials to the destination.

Major Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Leads the execution of an overall strategy, metrics, and processes to deploy an optimized logistic network and operations.
  • Oversees critical and related inventory, distribution, and transportation functions that support the achievement of organizational goals and KPI's for product delivery and customer satisfaction.
  •  Establishes governance and quality auditing processes to monitor vendor performance and drive continuous improvement. Utilizes analytics to monitor and measure performance, identify problems in operations, and achieve high performance at optimal cost.
  • Comply with the requirements of the company’s Quality Management System. 

Required Skills, Experience, and Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • 5+ years of managerial experience
  • 7+ years freight forwarding experience
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • Must be confident, team-oriented, and enjoy working in a fast-paced environment
  • Intermediate to advanced level of experience with Excel
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making ability
  • Self-managed and highly motivated
  • Displays integrity, reliability, empathy, and a strong work ethic
  • Results-oriented; Displays sense of urgency
  • Proficient in systems, routing, accruals, WIPS, and tracking

Physical Requirements:

  • Remain in a stationary/seated position for an extended period.
  • Regularly required to operate a computer, telephone, keyboard, and other office machinery.
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision requirements due to computer work.
  • The ability to hear, understand, and distinguish speech and/or other sounds.
