The Role

We are looking for an exceptional Director, Channel Partnerships that has strong experience acquiring strategic channel/technology partners, and facilitating the deployment of such partnerships in the US. You will be part of building this new capability and function for the organization!

 Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute new strategic partnership deals to expand Convera’s channel partner portfolio, brand footprint and B2B cross-border payments market share
  • Build, close and deliver a strong funnel / pipeline of opportunities of strategic channel partnerships in the US, driving revenue and volume growth while also informing our product roadmap
  • Negotiate and finalize business contracts, service-level agreements (SLAs), co-marketing and other commercial terms with channel partners, ensuring favorable terms for Convera
  • Define and lead commercialization strategies and execution to help our partnerships launch and scale successfully
  • Jointly own revenue generation plans with our Channel Partnerships Farming team, and drive cross-functional execution to deliver on those plans – working with Marketing, Product & Engineering, Customer Care and Onboarding teams to successfully build playbooks / collateral, execute sales engagements, ensure successful partner and end customer onboarding and revenue capture
  • Report out on a regular cadence to key stakeholders on pipeline and won deals, with a strong analytical approach and crisp communication style
  • Collaborating with colleagues from different departments within Convera

Required Qualifications:

  • 10+ years of business development / partnerships / sales experience, preferably in the Fintech, payments or software/technology industry with a proven track record of closing deals.
  • Experience in technical/digital sales and integrations, working with payment/software platforms in a dynamic environment with consistent demonstration of achieving or exceeding targets.
  • A transferable list of existing sales contacts at large, financial management software companies (preferred).
  • Demonstrated ability to execute high-value deals through corporate-level negotiations and ability to build long-term partner relationships.
  • Experienced using the principles of consultative selling and customer acquisition (including networking, events-based contact development, trade fairs, etc.)
  • Ambitious, self-motivated, confident with high integrity and tenacity to outperform the competition.
  • Sound business judgment, proven ability to influence others, strong analytical skills, and a proven track record of taking ownership, leading data-driven analyses, and influencing results.
  • Strong communication skills, including establishing credibility and trust with partners and building influential relationships both externally and internally
  • Advanced sales management skills, with the ability to lead a sales team effectively (role will evolve into a player-manager role) while meeting your own sales goals.
  • Ability to work individually, and to collaborate with others in a fast-paced, team environment, making quick decisions, and managing timelines.
  • Demonstrated experience working towards key performance indicators (KPIs) and individual targets to achieve weekly, quarterly, and annual goals.
  • Ability to travel

Preferred Qualifications:

Below are nice-to-have qualifications, but not required:

  • MBA or other advanced degree
  • Experience working in the SaaS, tech, financial service or payments industry
  • A good working knowledge of global B2B payments and complex foreign exchange (FX) products
