Job DescriptionScope of the Position
Own, build and grow Cargo Signal’s business across Asia Pacific (APAC), with full regional profit and loss (P&L) accountability. This is an entrepreneurial, hands-on role: personally develop business, engage customers, sell solutions and lead implementation while establishing a profitable, scalable regional operation. Serve as the region’s cargo security subject matter expert, collaborate across the Expeditors network and build a supporting team as growth warrants. Balance commercial growth with customer service, operational discipline, compliance and staff development.
Job Description
Business Development and Customer Ownership
Personally own the sales cycle, from prospecting and pipeline development through discovery, proposals, negotiation, close and account growth. Speak directly with customers to understand cargo security, logistics and supply-chain visibility pain points, then sell solutions that address their needs. Lead customer engagement and early implementations, retain and expand accounts, and ensure commercial commitments translate into reliable service.
Expeditors Partnership and Regional Growth
Develop and execute regional business plans, prioritize opportunities and expand the business across APAC. Build strong relationships with Expeditors offices and commercial teams, conduct joint customer calls and cross-sell Cargo Signal services in freight and transportation bids. Equip network partners to identify opportunities and coordinate proposals, pricing and delivery commitments.
Financial and Business Management
Own the full APAC P&L, including revenue, costs, margins and profitability. Prepare budgets and forecasts, review monthly financial performance and take corrective action. Apply commercial discipline to pricing, contracts, spending and resource decisions, working with finance, legal and other specialists as needed. Build scalable processes and systems that support profitable growth and consistent customer service.
Cargo Security and Tracking Device Operations
Act as the regional cargo security subject matter expert, advising customers and colleagues on risks, operational requirements and practical solutions. Own tracking device inventory, availability, deployment, recovery and movement into, within and out of APAC. Coordinate applicable import/export, customs, transport, product and communications requirements with qualified internal and external specialists. Establish controls and documentation that support compliant device movements and uninterrupted service.
Implementation and Cross-Border Collaboration
Personally lead regional implementation until supporting capacity is established. Coordinate factory and supplier onboarding, device deployment, operating instructions, training and issue resolution. Support business sold outside APAC that requires cooperation from regional factories, suppliers or network offices. Align responsibilities and handoffs with global colleagues, customers and suppliers, and remain accountable for APAC execution and customer outcomes.
Team Development and Market Presence
Build and grow a supporting team as business volume and complexity warrant, recruiting, coaching and developing people while retaining hands-on commercial and operational ownership. Establish clear responsibilities and a culture of integrity, collaboration and customer service. Represent Cargo Signal at trade shows, conferences and customer events; deliver presentations that demonstrate expertise, promote the brand and generate business opportunities.
QualificationsRequired
- Demonstrated success in consultative business-to-business sales and profitable business growth, including personally winning and expanding customer relationships.
- Experience doing business across APAC and working effectively across cultures and borders.

- Proficiency with business productivity tools and commercial reporting.
- Willingness to travel across APAC and internationally as business needs require.
