Provides administrative and nursing leadership in an assigned hospital in/outpatient services in order to provide excellence in the delivery of high-quality patient care and an optimal patient care experience. The incumbent directs the activities and resources of the nursing unit in partnership with physicians, medical staff, leadership, and others to resolve operational challenges and/or to improve processes. Works with senior leadership to develop and establish short- and long-term strategic plans that complement system, operating unit or affiliate goals and initiatives, including business, operations, and/or organizational priorities. Sets priorities and allocates resources to align with business objectives and annual plan. Develops and establishes the direction of policies and procedures, and sets a structure for providing safe, consistent and effective patient care. Establishes overall operating and capital budget with input from management team, ensuring financial targets are achieved and variances are addressed timely.Sutter Medical Center, Sacramento is the foundation of Sutter Health, Northern California's largest health network with 29 acute care hospitals, more than 5,000 primary care physicians and specialists, home health, occupational health, psychiatric care and more. The downtown Sacramento Medical Center is made up of several facilities that include Ose Adams Medical Pavilion, Anderson Lucchetti Women's & Children's Center, and Sutter Center for Psychiatry.

The 281-bed specialty medical center focuses on general acute medical/surgical care as well as a medical base to advanced services for cancer, orthopedics, spine, and neurology, and neurosurgery.
Anderson Lucchetti Women's & Children's Center
The 242-bed specialty medical center focuses on women's and children's specialty services and includes medical intensive care units for cardiac and neurological patients.

- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing
- BSN, MHA/MSN/MBA Preferred
CERTIFICATION & LICENSURE:
- RN-Registered Nurse of California
- BLS-Basic Life Support Healthcare Provider
TYPICAL EXPERIENCE:
- 12 years recent relevant experience.

- Advanced knowledge of nursing operations and workflows, and how department’s process/workflow impacts other department operations.

Pay Range is $215,113.60 to $344,177.60 / annual salaryThe compensation range may vary based on the geographic location where the position is filled. Total compensation considers multiple factors, including, but not limited to a candidate’s experience, education, skills, licensure, certifications, departmental equity, training, and organizational needs. Base pay is only one component of Sutter Health’s comprehensive total rewards program. Eligible positions also include a comprehensive benefits package.
