Position Overview

We are seeking a strategic and operationally savvy Director of Campaign Management to oversee a high-performing team responsible for managing the full sales cycle, from RFP responses to client retention, while ensuring exceptional client service, media planning, and campaign execution. Reporting to the VP of Ad Operations, this role is critical in driving revenue growth, fostering long-term client relationships, and maintaining operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities 

Team Leadership and Development:

  • Lead, mentor, and develop a small team of ad operations and account managers, fostering a culture of collaboration, accountability, and professional growth.
  • Set clear goals, performance metrics, and expectations for the team to ensure alignment with company objectives

Full Sales Cycle Management:

  • Collaborate with sales and strategy teams to develop compelling, data-driven RFP responses and media plans that meet client objectives.
  • Oversee the seamless execution of campaigns, ensuring they are delivered on time, on budget, and with measurable results.
  • Monitor performance metrics and provide actionable insights to clients to enhance campaign effectiveness.
  • Develop strategies to maintain and grow long-term client relationships, with a focus on retention and renewal opportunities. 

Media Planning and Campaign Strategy: 

  • Lead the development of innovative media plans, leveraging audience insights and data to drive impactful campaigns.
  • Ensure media plans align with campaign execution and performance goals while adhering to budget and timeline constraints.

Client and Campaign Management:

  • Serve as the primary escalation point for high-priority client accounts and complex campaign issues.
  • Partner with the Sales, Ad Operations, and Product teams to ensure campaign success and client satisfaction.

Strategic Revenue Initiatives:

  • Drive cross-functional initiatives aimed at improving operational efficiency, client retention, and revenue growth.
  • Collaborate with leadership to identify opportunities for new revenue streams, leveraging insights from account and campaign performance.

Process Optimization and Innovation:

  • Implement tools and workflows to improve efficiency, minimize errors, and streamline processes across the account management and ad operations teams.
  • Stay informed about industry trends and emerging technologies to ensure The Daily Beast remains at the forefront of digital advertising innovation.

Qualifications

  • 8+ years of experience in account management, digital media, advertising, or ad operations, including at least 3 years in a leadership role managing client-facing teams.
  • Must have direct media planning experience
  • Strong expertise in managing the full sales cycle, including RFP responses, media planning, campaign execution, and client retention.
  • Experience in CRM tools, analytics platforms, and project management software.
  • Experience working in advertising technology: Boostr, Google Analytics, Comscore Asana, DoubleVerify.
  • Expert level knowledge of Google Ad Manager and Campaign Manager is a requirement.
  • Proven track record of successfully managing high-profile client accounts and delivering results.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships across internal and external stakeholders.
  • Experience in a fast-paced, high-growth environment is preferred.

The pay range for this full-time position is $100,000 - $125,000. The base salary range represents the anticipated low and high end of the salary range for this position. Actual salaries may vary and may be above or below the range based on various factors including but not limited to work location, experience, and other factors. The Daily Beast is a globally recognized publication at IAC with our headquarters in New York City.
