Position Overview

We are seeking an exceptional Director to lead our business technology enablement operations and drive strategic solutions that accelerate revenue growth. This role demands a unique combination of deep technical expertise in Salesforce along with various other sales and marketing platforms, proven people leadership capabilities, and the strategic acumen to translate business needs into scalable technology solutions. The ideal candidate will be a hands-on leader who thrives in fast-paced environments and can deliver measurable impact quickly. 

 

Responsibilities

Strategic Leadership & Vision (~10%)

  • Define a strategy and execute comprehensive 18-month roadmap for sales and marketing technology stacks, aligning with overall business objectives and revenue targets.
  • Lead cross-functional initiatives utilizing an Agile approach to optimize the entire lead-to-cash process, identifying bottlenecks and implementing solutions that drive efficiency gains.
  • Establish and maintain technology governance framework, ensuring data integrity, security compliance, and scalable architecture.
  • Drive digital transformation via AI and automation to modernize commercial processes to eliminate manual workflows

Salesforce Excellence & Platform Management (~20%)

  • Architect and optimize a complex Salesforce environment across Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, and Experience Cloud.
  • Design and implement advanced AI automation workflows, including complex approval processes, lead routing, and territory management.
  • Build sophisticated reporting and analytics frameworks using Salesforce Reports, Power BI Dashboards, and Snowflake.
  • Manage integrations between Salesforce and critical business systems (ERP, marketing automation, CPQ, billing platforms).
  • Ensure 99.9% platform uptime while maintaining optimal performance for 500+ daily active users.

     Marketing Technology Stack Optimization (~20%)

  • Oversee end-to-end marketing technology ecosystem including marketing automation platforms (Marketo, HubSpot, etc…), attribution tools, and customer data platforms.
  • Implement advanced lead scoring models and attribution frameworks.
  • Design and execute sophisticated nurture campaigns and customer journey mapping.
  • Establish comprehensive data governance and GDPR/CCPA compliance protocols across all marketing tools.

Team Leadership & Development (~10%)

  • Lead and mentor a team of 6-8 technical professionals, including Salesforce administrators, data analysts, and marketing operations specialists.
  • Establish clear performance metrics, career development paths, and technical competency frameworks.
  • Foster a culture of continuous learning and innovation, encouraging experimentation with emerging technologies (AI).
  • Conduct regular 1:1s, performance reviews, and provide hands-on technical guidance and mentorship.


Business Partnership & Stakeholder Management (~30%)

  • Serve as primary technology advisor to VP’s and C-suite executives on all sales and marketing technology decisions.
  • Lead all aspects of working with Stakeholders to connect business objectives to tangible outcomes via an Agile approach for prioritization and work execution.
  • Conduct quarterly business reviews with stakeholders, presenting completed work, ROI, and strategic recommendations for the next quarter.
  • Partner with Sales Operations, Marketing Operations, and IT teams to ensure seamless technology integration.
  • Manage vendor relationships and contract negotiations for technology partnerships worth $2M+ annually.


Delivery Excellence & Execution (~10%)

  • Drive agile project management methodologies to deliver technology solutions faster than industry benchmarks.
  • Establish rapid prototyping and MVP development processes through AI for A/B testing new technology solutions.
  • Create comprehensive change management programs to ensure high user adoption rates for new system implementations.
  • Develop and maintain detailed technical documentation and standard operating procedures.

 

Qualifications

Education & Certifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field.
  • Salesforce certifications: Platform Developer I/II, Sales Cloud Consultant, or other relevant certifications.
  • Experience with Salesforce CPQ implementations and Revenue Cloud implementations.
  • Background in fast-growing SaaS or technology companies with complex sales cycles.
  • Experience with data privacy regulations (GDPR, CCPA) and compliance frameworks

Experience & Skills:

  • Salesforce Mastery: 7+ years of hands-on Salesforce experience with multiple certifications including Salesforce Administrator, Advanced Administrator, and at least one specialist certification (Sales Cloud Consultant, Service Cloud Consultant, CPQ, Revenue Cloud, or Platform App Builder).
  • Advanced Salesforce Skills: Expertise in Apex development, Lightning Web Components, Process Builder, Flow Builder, and Salesforce DX.
  • AI Skills: Daily demonstrated use of Claude AI/Cowork/Code, n8n, or other such capabilities to deliver quickly.
  • Marketing Technology Proficiency: 5+ years managing marketing automation platforms (Marketo, HubSpot, etc…) with demonstrated success in campaign optimization and lead management.
  • Integration Experience: Proven track record implementing complex system integrations using REST APIs, middleware platforms (Celigo), and ETL processes.
  • Analytics & Reporting: Advanced skills in Salesforce Analytics, Snowflake, Power BI, or similar BI tools with ability to create executive-level dashboards and KPI tracking.
  • Leadership: Minimum 5 years managing technical teams with demonstrated success in talent development, performance management, and team scaling.
  • Strategic Planning: Proven ability to develop strong strategies and execute multi-year technology roadmaps aligned with business objectives.
  • Stakeholder Management: Experience presenting to C-level executives and managing relationships with senior business leaders.
  • Change Management: Track record implementing large-scale technology transformations with high user adoption rates.
  • Business Acumen: Deep understanding of B2B sales processes, pipeline management, and revenue recognition principles.
  • Data-Driven Decision Making: Expertise in analyzing complex datasets to identify trends, optimize processes, and measure ROI.
  • Process Optimization: Proven success streamlining business processes and eliminating inefficiencies through technology solutions.
  • Vendor Management: Experience managing technology vendor relationships and contract negotiations.
