🌟 Your Impact at Lila

Lila Sciences is seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Director of Business Systems to join our team. This role is responsible for the strategic planning, development, implementation, and management of core business systems, including HRIS (Human Resource Information Systems), ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning), and CRM (Customer Relationship Management), across the organization. This role ensures that business systems are aligned with business goals and objectives, enhance operational efficiency, and foster innovation. The director will lead the analysis, design, implementation, and maintenance of these vital systems to support organizational growth and excellence.

🛠️ What You'll Be Building

  • Develop and implement a long-term strategic plan for business systems in alignment with the organizational strategy.
  • Identify opportunities to optimize business processes through innovative system solutions.
  • Oversee the planning, design, and implementation of business systems like HRIS (HiBob), ERP (Oracle NetSuite/SAP), CRM (Sales Force)
  • Develop and manage functional specifications for COTS and custom software
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to translate scientific and operational needs into detailed requirements for digital solutions. 
  • Analyze existing workflows to identify inefficiencies and propose digital enhancements or automation opportunities. 
  • Ensure the reliability, performance, and security of all business systems.
  • Evaluate and recommend new technologies and enhancements for these systems.
  • Foster a collaborative and innovative team environment.
  • Ensure effective communication and alignment between IT and other departments.
  • Oversee system implementation projects, including budgeting, resource allocation, and timeline management.
  • Manage relationships with external vendors, negotiate contracts, and ensure the delivery of services aligned with agreements specific to business systems.
  • Identify and mitigate risks associated with business systems.
  • Ensure systems comply with relevant legal, regulatory, and operational standards.
  • Promote a culture of continuous improvement and operational excellence across the organization’s business systems.
  • Monitor and measure the effectiveness of business systems and drive improvements as needed.

🧰 What You’ll Need to Succeed

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Business Administration, or a related field. A Master’s degree or MBA is preferred.
  • 10+ years of experience in business systems management, with a focus on HRIS, ERP, and CRM systems, and at least 5 years in a leadership position.
  • Portfolio of digital projects implemented successfully whereby the candidate led and owed the business analysis discovery (user story generation), requirements gathering, and traceability.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent problem-solving and decision-making capabilities.
  • Experience in project management and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Familiarity with compliance standards and risk management practices.
