POSITION SUMMARY

The Director of Business Solutions Sales and Strategy will develop and deliver commercial sales and services to new and existing business clients across our footprint. They will manage, coordinate and execute Central Bank of St Louis’ Business Solutions sales growth strategy to achieve targeted revenue and deposit objectives. Lead a strong collaborative culture between the Business Solutions sales organization and key business line partners through consistent and direct communication with sales team members. Demonstrated leadership experience will drive a successful sales culture via client-facing involvement and regular in-market meetings. A working knowledge of key industry products and solid working relationships with operations will serve as a vehicle for the ongoing growth and development of Central Bank's broader Business Solutions sales and services platform. Conduct relationships and activities consistent with established Bank policies, procedures and systems, the corporate code of conduct, Bank Secrecy Act and all applicable State and Federal laws and regulations.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES

Scorecard Results

  • Develop actionable growth plans during portfolio planning strategies.
  • You will evaluate the bank’s current offerings versus the industry’s potential and identify the ideal products for our customers.
  • Remain abreast of the trends and new developments in the coordination, development and execution of new and existing services.
  • Manages the pricing of products and services to ensure competitiveness and profitability.
  • Develop and provide actionable client target lists for utilization by the team in their prospecting efforts.
  • You will employ innovative strategies to identify and implement process changes for greater efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Responsible for business entity growth, which includes but is not limited to revenues generated from commercial services charges and business payment solutions product lines.

 

Leadership Effectiveness

  • Through effective leadership, you will support the day-to-day deposit and payment operations of business customers providing oversight of internal and external customer support.
  • Recruit, train, lead, coach, and support the Business Solutions Sales and Operations team.
  • Manage a sales team whose targets are to develop and increase new and diversified income streams, including fees and deposits.
  • Drive accountability around sales disciplines including monthly sales reporting, pipeline development and quarterly performance conversations.
  • Provide coaching, guidance and effective training to enhance and increase teams’ overall effectiveness.
  • Protect the Bank by applying sound risk management protocols and adhering to regulatory requirements.
Preferred Qualifications

POSITION REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor’s degree, preferably in accounting or finance.
  • 10+ years’ sales and operations experience in Treasury/Cash Management/Card Services, Financial Services or related business experience
  • 5+ years of management experience; preferably in managing geographically distributed team, and managing managers
  • Sales management in an outside business to business sales environment with a documented track record of success / top performance
  • Certified Treasury Professional or similar professional designation preferred, strong understanding of the C&I Treasury Market
  • Strong coaching, motivation and leadership skills; ability to network, recruit, train, and develop team members.
  • Ability to develop, drive and articulate strategy and vision for the team
  • Significant card services experience and strong knowledge of bank deposit operations.
  • Commercial lending or business banking experience is strongly preferred.
  • Working knowledge of Agile Project/Process Management preferred
