About the Role
As the Director of Business Systems Enablement, you will oversee a multidisciplinary team, including the SAP Center of Excellence, IT Project Management Office (PMO), and the data team. In this strategic and hands-on role, you will act as the application architect while collaborating with key stakeholders to develop and enhance Sierra Space's integrated digital systems. Your primary focus will be on streamlining operations using SAP, Dassian, and other integrated systems.
Key Responsibilities:

• Strategic Oversight: Provide strategic direction for the SAP Center of Excellence, IT PMO functions, and the data team, ensuring all initiatives align with organizational goals.
• Project Management: Oversee the intake and triage of tickets and projects, ensuring appropriate prioritization and resource allocation.
• Team Leadership: Manage a diverse team, driving productivity and resolving conflicts/issues to keep projects on track.
• Feature and Process Clarity: Ensure that feature requests, business processes, and bug fixes are clearly understood, documented, and effectively communicated.
• Systems Integration: Oversee the end-to-end issue resolution across highly integrated systems, working closely with technical and development teams to maintain and enhance system integrations.
• Collaboration: Collaborate closely with the Engineering Enablement Group to ensure seamless integration between business systems and engineering systems and applications.
• Optimization & Cost Reduction: Optimize business systems and drive cost reduction whenever possible.
• AI Capabilities: Focus on introducing and integrating AI capabilities into business and engineering systems.
• Staffing & Resource Planning: Assess and ensure the SAP support team is adequately staffed, sourcing additional resources as necessary through temporary subcontracting or other means.
• Roadmap Development: Generate and maintain roadmaps that chart strategic initiatives and track progress against plans.
• Communication Strategies: Develop and implement communication strategies to keep business users informed of system designs, enhancements, and changes.
• IT PMO Leadership: Direct IT PMO functions, ensuring successful project planning, execution, and delivery.
• Data Management: Oversee the data team responsible for enterprise data warehouse, data quality, data governance, and enterprise metrics and reporting. Ensure data integrity, governance, and strategic data utilization.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree in a related field; relevant experience may be considered in lieu of required education.
• Possess an understanding of hypervisors, automation/orchestration of IaaS/PaaS cloud services.
• Successful, progressive leadership experience in a highly-matrixed environment, including recruiting, building, developing, and retaining high-performing teams.
• Experience managing hybrid cloud services.
• Demonstrated success in long-term planning and adapting to immediate changing customer demands.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Typically, 8-10 years of relevant experience; higher education may substitute for relevant experience.
• Experience managing multiple teams, including a team of 6 or more individual contributors.
• Experience defining and executing a cloud strategy, including hybrid cloud orchestration and automation.
• Demonstrated experience in improving IT continuity frameworks and plans.
• Strong project management and delivery methodologies.
• Experience defining a configuration and optimization strategy for infrastructure components, aligning with overarching business and IT strategies.
• Experience in introducing and integrating AI capabilities into business systems.

Sierra Space offers annual incentive pay based upon performance that is commensurate with the level of the position.

Estimated Starting Salary Range:
$186,100.35 - $255,887.98
