Duties/Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement comprehensive business development strategies to enhance market presence and penetrate new markets.
  • Identify, evaluate, and pursue strategic business opportunities, including partnerships, alliances, and new market segments.
  • Lead negotiations and close deals with potential clients and partners.
  • Collaborate with the product development team to align offerings with market needs and trends.
  • Analyze market trends and competitor strategies to inform business decisions and strategy adjustments.
  • Foster strong relationships with key industry players, clients, and stakeholders.
  • Provide leadership and direction to the business development team, setting clear objectives and performance metrics.
  • Represent the company at industry events, conferences, and networking functions.
  • Prepare and present reports on business development activities, results, and forecasts to senior management.
  • Generate energy to motivate and support continuous learning within the team. Give opportunities for your team to grow their skills and meet their career aspirations.
  • Champion an inclusive and diverse environment where people are excited to do their best work and their ideas are actively sought after. Model our values and leadership principles, coach others to give them the tools to grow, and demonstrate caring and empathy.


Education and/or Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, IT, or a related field. An MBA or relevant graduate degree is preferred.
  • Proven track record of 10+ years of success in business development, particularly in the financial technology sector.
  • 5+ years of people management experience

  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to establish and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, clients, and industry influencers.
  • Excellent negotiation, communication, and presentation skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and inspire teams, fostering a collaborative and results-driven culture.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret complex data, identify trends, and make data-driven decisions.
  • Strategic thinker with an analytical mindset and problem-solving skills.


Work Environment

  • This job operates in an office environment.
  • Position requires 50%+ time for travel. (We're a distributed company.)

Salary Range
$164,500-$205,500
The annual base salary range for this position is noted above. Exact compensation offered may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and office location.
