Director, Business Development (Government Engagement)
Overview
The Director, Business Development (Government Engagement) role focuses on aligning Mastercard's product, service and ecosystem capabilities to solve for the challenges government clients face today in the areas of financial inclusion, citizen services, economic development and government operational excellence.
The incumbent will be responsible for creating new growth shoots for Mastercard's business in the Thailand to drive current and future revenue for the company by strengthening strategic partnerships, driving sales of digital platforms and solutions, deepening relationships with Government and winning project mandates, and expanding merchant acceptance.
The Role
This is a senior role in the Thailand team, working closely with regional teams to lead the business verticals of Financial Inclusion, Mobility and Government Sales. The incumbent would be expected to provide leadership, support and guidance to relevant Business Leads across the organization to meet the above-mentioned business objectives, while holding overall accountability.

Candidate must be/have:• Able to integrate knowledge across disciplines, including technology, operations, sales, product, marketing, compliance and risk.• Self-driven, organized and pro-active with ability to multi-task• Entrepreneurial and commercially focused with proven influencing skills• Experience in working on government business, tender process, managing government relationships, and co-developing a solution with government• Experience in mobilizing programs across multiple organizations (customer; partners; suppliers) and managing delivery to successful outcomes• Able to strongly articulate the case for public administration to embark upon complex, technology-enabled transformation initiatives• Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work successfully with cross-functional teams• Critical thinker and solution-oriented• Post Graduate preferred
