POSITION SUMMARY:

The Director of Copy & Brand Voice is responsible for crafting the voice of the brand across multiple touch points including campaigns, digital sites, CRM. Global social, retail signage and marketing materials as well as product naming and storytelling. The Director of Copy works closely with the creative team and cross-functional project teams at all levels to generate and execute concepts for all branded material. This role is a leader in the development and consistent management of our brand voice across all key consumer touch points, working cross-functionally from within the creative team with social, influencer, product and events teams as needed to create brand experiences both in collaboration with creative colleagues and working autonomously when needed.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES/ACCOUNTABILITIES OF THE JOB:

  • Lead the brand voice for all global websites, email, and digital marketing under the leadership of the SVP of Global Creative
  • Drive the achievement of creative goals and strategic solutions to meet brand, marketing and eComm sales objectives, working closely with Marketing Leads,, and regional teams.
  • Lead and collaborate with creative colleagues on the conceptual and copy direction of Calvin Klein’s branding, advertising and marketing initiatives.
  • Translate creative direction and copy points from creative briefs into engaging and effective copy concepts.
  • Take part in creative concepting and collaborate with the designers to develop creative concepts for brand initiatives.
  • Work closely with creative team to ensure copy tone and style are consistent with visual tone and style.
  • Work closely with product marketing to create brand right, product storytelling that entices the consumer. 
  • Work with the social teams to develop copy for rollouts that consider channel needs and differentiations.

           

  • Interact with project teams to understand business objectives and audience demographics.
  • Be a strategic thinker, creatively interpreting insights from marketing into effective, meaningful creative concepts that meet business goals and maintain the highest level of creative integrity
  • Demonstrate the studio’s high-quality standards across all deliverables.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Direct:             A team of 6+ copy writers  across all channel touchpoints

                       

Indirect:         Partnership w/Creative team, campaign/digital/motion production support staff members.

                                   Regional creative leads

                                   Freelance and agency partners as needed

STRATEGIC RESPONSIBILITIES:

Works closely with the Product, Social, eComm and, marketing teams to deliver creative solutions to business needs across all channels. Responsible for creating brand appropriate “tone of voice” and standards to support messaging to the consumer in all marketing mediums.

DECISION MAKING:

Makes decisions re: day-to-day management and acceleration of creative teammates; solving marketing problems by providing creative solutions; driving continual efforts to maintain creative standards.  Always meeting business deadlines.

RESOURCEFULNESS/CREATIVITY:

Must be able to multi-task, own and delegate creative projects in a fast-paced environment, and to make decisions quickly; creates new and innovative solutions when needed. 

ENVIRONMENT:

The environment is extremely fast-paced and deadline driven.

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE:

Experience:

10+ years of copy creative direction experience within the fashion/lifestyle space .

A solid understanding of marketing and advertising principles.

  • An exceptional copywriting portfolio website.
  • Proven creative ability.
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills.
  • Accuracy and attention to detail.
  • An understanding of the latest trends and their role within a commercial environment.
  • Ability to thrive in a collaborative team environment.
  •  Ability to actively contribute to strategic brainstorming, campaign development, creative brief development and creative execution.
  • Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously and effectively juggle different writing demands.

Education:

Bachelor’s degree in business related field or equivalent experience

Skills:

  • Exceptional writing skills, including the ability to write in a range of voices and styles for a variety of projects with diverse audiences.
  • Experience with strategic concepting, campaign development and creative execution.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Self-motivated and capable of working collaboratively across multiple teams.
  • Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously and effectively juggle diverse writing demands.

Pay Range:$143,200---$193,300

PVH currently provides base salary ranges for all positions-on job advertisements-in the United States based on local requirements. These ranges are based on what PVH reasonably believes that it will pay an associate for their base salary for said position at the time of the posting. Individual compensation will ultimately be determined based on a variety of relevant factors including but-not limited to qualifications, geographic location and other relevant skills. PVH is committed to providing a market-competitive total rewards package to eligible associates, which includes diverse and robust health and insurance benefits to meet the varied needs of our associates and an above-market 401(k) contribution to help our associates save for retirement. Additional Compensation: This role is bonus eligible. This role is equity eligible.
