Thousand Fell is building the future of circular fashion.

Our mission is to end textile waste and prove that circular products can look better, feel better, and perform better than traditional ones.

We launched the world’s first fully recyclable sneaker and built the system behind it to take every pair back, break it down, and turn it into something new. No landfill. No waste. Just better design.

Now we’re looking for a Marketing Lead who wants to help grow the brand, shape the story, and make circular fashion something people actually get excited to participate in.

The Role

This isn't a role for someone who wants to execute someone else's vision. This is for a builder.

As Marketing Director, you'll own Thousand Fell's entire marketing function — strategy, brand voice, content, partnerships and growth. You'll report directly to GM, collaborate directly with founders on and manage the direction for how we show up in the world, and have the budget and support to execute against it.

You understand not just what's trending, but why. You can translate brand values into campaigns that connect. You know how to build a vibrant community, not just an audience. And you're as comfortable presenting a brand strategy to leadership as you are rolling up your sleeves on a content shoot.

This is a senior individual contributor role with the mandate to build out a team as we scale. You'll have real ownership, real resources, and real impact on a brand trying to change an industry.

What You’ll Do

Brand Strategy & Direction

  • Manage Thousand Fell's brand positioning, voice, and visual identity as the company scales
  • Translate our mission into compelling narratives that resonate across audiences — from sneakerheads to climate-conscious consumers
  • Serve as brand steward and key voice in product, partnership, and go-to-market decisions

Marketing Strategy & Planning

  • Own the annual marketing strategy and calendar, including campaign planning, product launches, and seasonal programming
  • Manage the marketing budget — allocating resources across channels, tracking ROI, and making informed bets on emerging opportunities
  • Develop integrated go-to-market plans that drive awareness, acquisition, and retention across digital and offline channels

Content & Channels

  • Lead content strategy across Instagram, TikTok, email, and emerging platforms — setting the creative direction and overseeing execution
  • Oversee email marketing in Klaviyo including lifecycle strategy, segmentation, and performance optimization
  • Collaborate with design to maintain a consistent, elevated brand aesthetic across all touchpoints

Partnerships & Community

  • Build and manage strategic influencer, brand, and press partnerships that expand reach and deepen credibility
  • Identify and lead co-marketing and retail partnerships that reinforce Thousand Fell's positioning in the circular economy
  • Grow the Thousand Fell community — both online and through IRL activations, events, and experiences

Performance & Insight

  • Own reporting across your channels leveraging Shopify, Google Analytics, and channel platforms — setting KPIs and driving data-informed decision making
  • Report marketing performance to founders and stakeholders with clear attribution, learnings, and forward-looking recommendations
  • Build a culture of experimentation — testing new formats, channels, and growth tactics with speed and rigor

Team & Vendor Leadership

  • Manage and mentor the existing marketing team member(s) and lead hiring as the function grows
  • Oversee any relevant agency, freelancer, and vendor relationships — setting briefs, managing timelines, and maintaining quality

What We're Looking For

  • 7+ years of experience in brand marketing, with significant time in a senior or lead role — fashion, lifestyle, CPG, or culture-adjacent brands strongly preferred
  • Proven track record of building and scaling brands — you've shaped a brand's voice and can show the work
  • Deep fluency in social-first content strategy and a genuine instinct for culture, trends, and internet behavior
  • Experience managing marketing budgets and making data-driven resource allocation decisions
  • Strong strategic and analytical thinking — equally comfortable in a brand brainstorm and a performance dashboard
  • Exceptional writing with a clear, distinctive brand voice — you can tell a story in a caption or a campaign brief
  • Hands-on experience with Shopify, Klaviyo, Google Analytics, and social content tools (CapCut, Canva)
  • Experience managing direct reports or cross-functional teams, with a collaborative, high-accountability leadership style
  • Comfortable operating at a fast-moving startup — you can hold the strategic view and get into the details when it matters
  • Genuine passion for sustainability, circular design, or building brands that stand for something
