The opportunity
Grant Thornton Advisors is investing in its brand as the firm grows. With more than 25,000 professionals across around 20 markets, we are building a global brand marketing and media function to support that growth.
As Brand Marketing and Media Director, you will bring together global brand campaigns, social media, paid media and sponsorship to strengthen our market presence and support commercial growth. You will set the strategy, direct investment and measure its contribution to brand and business performance.
Lead global brand campaigns
Own the global brand campaign plan, from audience priorities and channel selection to delivery and measurement.
Coordinate advertising, social media and sponsorship, working with creative teams to develop a consistent campaign approach.
Integrate sponsorships and partner programs into relevant campaigns to extend their reach and strengthen their impact.
Shape campaign narratives and refine copy to ensure clear messaging, a consistent brand voice and relevance to target audiences.
Work with local teams to adapt global campaigns to market priorities and budgets while maintaining brand consistency.
Apply campaign results and audience insights to improve planning, creative development and channel performance.
Build and lead paid media
Build the global in-house paid media team and define planning and buying responsibilities across internal teams and agencies.
Set the global paid media strategy and oversee delivery against agreed brand and business objectives.
Allocate investment across LinkedIn, search, programmatic advertising and video, adjusting spend based on performance.
Lead relationships with media platforms, starting with LinkedIn, to improve commercial terms and access to expertise and capabilities.
Strengthen the brand through social media
Set the global approach to organic and paid social, with consistent standards for planning, publishing and measurement.
Lead the social platform strategy, prioritizing LinkedIn and strengthening executive visibility and employee advocacy.
Use audience insights, social listening and performance data to shape content and measure its contribution to business objectives.
Manage investment and measure impact
Develop and manage the annual brand activation investment plan, aligning budgets with agreed priorities and securing approval.
Establish a measurement framework to assess how brand and media investment contributes to brand health and pipeline development.
Report performance to marketing leadership, highlighting results, lessons learned and recommended changes to activity and investment.
Lead the team
Set clear priorities and accountability across the brand activation and sponsorship, social media and paid media teams.
Coach and develop the team, building the skills and capacity needed to support the function as it grows.
Required experience
At least 12 years of brand or marketing leadership experience in B2B or professional services, including five years at Director level or equivalent leading a multidisciplinary function.
Experience building and running an in-house paid media function, covering team structure, media buying, tools and platform relationships.
Experience leading brand campaigns across multiple markets, balancing brand consistency with local adaptation.
Experience improving social media performance and demonstrating its contribution to brand objectives and pipeline development.
Experience managing activation budgets across markets and reallocating investment based on performance.
Strong storytelling and copywriting skills, with the ability to turn complex business ideas into clear, compelling campaign messages.
Experience developing measurement frameworks that connect brand and campaign investment to pipeline and revenue, and presenting findings to senior leadership.
The base salary range for this position is between $184,000 and $276,000. Placement within the pay range is at Grant Thornton’s discretion, and it is based on multiple factors, including but not limited to, job -related knowledge/skills, experience, business needs, progression within the role, geographic location, and internal equity.
