The Director Brand Insights role is a leadership position designed to support the customer & market information/insights needs of the US Rare Disease Business Unit and Brand Teams.  This role is a member of the Business Analysis team, primarily supporting the relevant rare asset.

The Director Brand Insights position is responsible for leading the primary market research, competitive intelligence, and business analytics for the relevant rare asset, with a particular focus on launch preparation.

The Director, Brand Insights is expected to function as a player/coach and contribute to the design and implementation of actionable insights generation that influences business decisions that add value, address patient/customer needs, and that drive brand performance in the US.

Additionally, the Director, Brand Insights is expected to develop and own the insight plan for the relevant asset while managing the related budget and resources to drive execution. The primary stakeholders for the Director, Brand Insights, include the relevant asset brand team, Market Access Marketing, Field Enablement, Sales, Medical Affairs, Field Enablement and Global.

 The position requires competency in primary research, business analytics and performance management, as well as leadership and collaboration with marketing and sales partners.

 

Knowledge and Skills Required:

  • Strong analytical skills and insights generation expertise.

  • Demonstrated experience and expertise integrating primary and secondary data into synthesized information and insights.

  • Strong people management, budget ownership and coaching skills to drive insight plan, team and enable optimal performance.

  • Experience in rare or nano rare disease launches and/or management

  • Knowledge of and experience working with secondary data, including prescription data, patient-level data, sales data, and payer data.

  • Ability to think creatively and innovatively in solving complex business problems and to apply solutions to drive actionable results.

  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills.

  • Proactively takes ownership of building internal relationships with colleagues and mastering cultural standards.

  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively with cross functional partners and to influence decision making.

 

Education/Experience:

  • Minimum of 10 years’ progressive experience in customer insights and analytics in the pharmaceutical industry or related consulting experience.

  •  Rare disease experience is critical.  Experience in immunology, neurology, nephrology, oncology a plus.

  • Experience driving insights in both the launch and inline phase in the United States

  • Minimum of 3 years leading a team

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, Statistics, Economics, Life Sciences, Computer Science, or a related field.

Minimum $186,489.00 - Maximum $278,875.00, plus incentive opportunity: The range shown represents a typical pay range or starting pay for individuals who are hired in the role to perform in the United States. Other elements may be used to determine actual pay such as the candidate’s job experience, specific skills, and comparison to internal incumbents currently in role. Typically, actual pay will be positioned within the established range, rather than at its minimum or maximum. This information is provided to applicants in accordance with states and local laws.
