Job Summary/Description:

KTTC/KXLT is an innovative leader in the Rochester/Mason City/Austin market. With a proud legacy of leading the market in news and community initiatives, we are constantly evolving and pushing to meet people where they consume news and deliver compelling content across all platforms.

We are seeking a Director of Brand Engagement & Audience Development to lead our station's creative vision and strategic marketing initiatives. This role serves as a central hub for station-wide creative efforts, bridging news, programming, sales, and promotion departments to elevate our brand presence and community impact.

The successful candidate will leverage deep digital and marketing expertise to identify growth opportunities through evolving media channels, build strategic community partnerships, and develop revenue-generating creative initiatives that align with our station's values. This position reports directly to the General Manager of the station and manages cross-functional teams to execute integrated marketing and creative campaigns.

Duties/Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: 

• Develop and execute integrated marketing strategies that position the station competitively in evolving media landscapes
• Identify, cultivate, and manage strategic community partnerships that align with station values
• Plan and execute station events and promotional activations
• Serve as creative guide and strategic advisor for Midwest Access lifestyle show
• Partner with the sales team to conceive and execute innovative, revenue-generating ideas
• Spearhead innovative streaming content initiatives by collaborating with external content gatherers, creative partners, and community organizations; help drive production and vision behind new digital/OTT programming (with potential to host select segments).
• Help foster a collaborative, innovative team culture between all departments – creative services, news, and sales.

Qualifications/Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Journalism, or related field (or equivalent professional experience)
• 5+ years of experience in marketing, media, or creative services
• Demonstrated expertise in multi-channel marketing and digital media strategy
• Proven track record of identifying and developing strategic partnerships
• Strong project management and organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple concurrent initiatives
• Excellent verbal, written, and presentation communication skills
• Experience in the broadcast or media industry
• Proficiency with marketing analytics, social media platforms, and creative production tools

Preferred:
• Experience in lifestyle programming or on-air talent coaching
• 2+ years of leadership/management experience
• Background in event planning and community engagement
• Knowledge of commercial production and advertising standards
• Experience working in a news-focused environment
