We are seeking a Director of Brand Awareness, Contractor (Leave Coverage) for a short-term assignment covering a parental leave. This temporary contract role (not a full-time position) will run for approximately four months and is expected to work 30-40 hours per week. This role will support the Brand Marketing team in the day-to-day management, execution, and reporting of our media initiatives, ensuring continuity and momentum during the leave period. This person will serve as the primary liaison for external media partners and key cross-functional teams, maintaining high-quality execution across campaigns and deliverables.

Contractor Responsibilities

Plan and manage media in support of our brand awareness and consideration goals across a variety of channels and platforms. This includes:

Campaign Strategy & Execution

  • Define and execute the media strategy for campaigns across key channels. 
  • Partner with key internal stakeholders to ensure continuity across the marketing funnel during the leave period.
  • Act as the main point of contact with external agency & vendor partners in the development, execution and reporting of media campaigns.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Work with Creative and other cross-functional teams to prioritize and deliver campaign creative needs for upper funnel media, including visuals, ad copy, landing pages, and other assets. Outline best practices and needs across deliverables. 
  • Ideate and lead awareness and media strategy with Wholesale partners across marketing programs & media channels, ensuring cohesive alignment across channels.
  • Collaborate with marketing partners to identify new opportunities for Glossier’s awareness marketing and stay on top of new trends across platforms, channels, and creative

Media Management & Optimization

  • Effectively monitor campaign performance, and manage campaigns, ads, budgets, and channel-specific KPIs.
  • Compile respective campaign reporting for all major awareness metrics and share insights/trends with the team

Product Integration

  • Serve as the main point of contact with external agencies and internal teams on product integration workstream.
  •  Review and manage product integration opportunities, managing submissions, evaluating fits, and compiling performance reporting.
Qualifications 
  • Contract length: ~4 months (parental leave coverage), 30–40 hours/week
  • Onsite in our New York HQ 1-2 days/week
  • Preferred experience working in the beauty industry with multi-category brands 
  • Preferred experience with key platforms; Looker, Google Analytics and Haus
  • 8+ years of experience in marketing role, specifically focused on advertising
  • Excellent leadership skills with experience managing agency & vendor relationships
  • Deep understanding of ad platforms (Google, TikTok, etc) as well as experience working with external partners across full scope of media initiatives (planning, QA, execution, reporting)
  • Experience planning and executing across offline channels (Out of Home, CTV/Streaming, IRL Marketing Event Activations)
  • Strong collaboration skills and ability to work across multiple cross-functional teams, especially Creative teams
  • Ability to work as part of and lead initiatives, as well as excellent organizational skills to juggle many tasks without losing sight of the highest priority items 
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and work in fast-paced environment
  • Is a self-starter, able to take initiative, and work both independently and collaboratively
  • Exceptional interpersonal, communication and presentation skills
  • Is a team player, flexible and able to adapt to changes
  • Ability to think both strategically and tactically with exceptional attention to detail

In accordance with the applicable law, the following represents a good faith estimate of the minimum and maximum compensation range for this position:

  • The estimated pay range for this role is $70-$90 per hour
  • This is a short term contract, maternity leave coverage position
