We are seeking an experienced Director of Benefits / Total Rewards to lead the design, implementation, and administration of comprehensive benefits programs for a large, complex healthcare organization.
This role is responsible for overseeing all aspects of benefits strategy, compliance, vendor management, and team leadership, ensuring programs are competitive, compliant, and aligned with organizational goals.
The Director of Benefits will lead enterprise-wide benefits strategy across health and welfare plans, retirement programs, and wellness initiatives. This role partners closely with senior HR leadership to deliver a cohesive Total Rewards strategy that attracts and retains top talent while maintaining cost efficiency and regulatory compliance.
This position also oversees vendor relationships, benefits communications, and system enhancements, while leading a team responsible for day-to-day benefits operations.

Skills Required
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Human Resources, or related field
- 10+ years of experience managing benefits programs in a complex organization
- Strong experience with health & welfare, retirement (401k, 403b), and non-qualified plans
- Deep knowledge of ERISA, IRS, HIPAA, COBRA, FMLA, and healthcare reform regulations
- Experience managing benefits vendors and external partners
- Prior experience with HRIS systems
- Proven leadership experience managing and developing teams
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
- Master's degree (MBA, MHA, or related field)
- Certifications such as CEBS, CBP, or other HR-related credentials
- Experience in healthcare or large multi-site organizations
- Experience designing or leading wellness programs
