GENERAL OBJECTIVES:
The Director of Baseball Player Development is to plan and coordinate all baseball team travel, equipment, and other tasks in regard to the Horner Ballpark athletic facilities while assisting the coaching staff with various baseball responsibilities as assigned. The goal and objective of DBU Athletics is to develop Champions for Christ, both on and off the playing surface.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Master’s degree preferred.
- Three or more years of Division I baseball experience.
- Knowledge of all aspects of NCAA Division I baseball including equipment, facilities, camp, practice planning, travel, inventory, requisition, and other.
- Knowledge of NCAA regulations and compliance.
SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Perform job duties in accordance with DBU’s vision, mission and values, and in a way that contributes to the development of the Athletics Department.
- Schedule all travel arrangements and game day logistics.
- Maintain facility upkeep in coordination with on and off campus partners.
- Game day and special events preparation.
- Administer all responsibilities in accordance with all applicable NCAA rules and guidelines.
- Oversee and manage all DBU Baseball Camp opportunities.
- Be active in all department-wide fund raising and related professional activities.
- Be supportive of all athletic teams and other athletic department personnel.
- Hold membership in appropriate national associations and be active in related professional activities.
- Practice superior customer service.
- Other duties as assigned by Head Baseball Coach or Director of Athletics
WORK SCHEDULE:
A minimum of 40 hours per week or more is necessary to meet the requirements of the program. A typical workweek is expected in the 50 to 60+ hour range. Travel is required throughout the year for various responsibilities.
WORK LOCATION:
This position will work on the main campus, located at 3000 Mountain Creek Parkway, Dallas, TX 75211

- Must be a Christian who is a member of a church that holds Jesus Christ to be their Savior and Lord, and who holds solely the Old Testament and the New Testament as sacred Scriptures.

- Bachelor’s degree from accredited institution.
