Join Thermo Fisher Scientific's Chromatography and Mass Spectrometry Division (CMD) as the Director of Regional Marketing for Asia Pacific and Japan (APJ). In this pivotal role, you'll shape the future of scientific innovation by defining and executing a cutting-edge, data-driven marketing strategy that propels revenue growth, expands market share, and deepens customer engagement across the diverse APJ region.

As a key member of both the APJ commercial leadership team and the global division marketing leadership team, you'll:

  • Spearhead AI-enabled, full-funnel marketing initiatives that align seamlessly with regional sales strategies and global business priorities
  • Collaborate with Global Business Units, Country Marketing leaders, and APJ commercial teams to drive impactful, localized marketing campaigns
  • Leverage advanced analytics, automation, and account-based strategies to build scalable demand engines and maximize marketing ROI
  • Lead a high-performing regional marketing team, fostering a culture of innovation, agility, and data-driven decision-making

Key Responsibilities:

Regional Growth Strategy & Commercial Impact

  • Develop and lead the APJ regional marketing strategy, aligning with CMD global priorities and APJ commercial objectives
  • Own regional marketing performance metrics, including pipeline contribution, revenue influence, and market share growth
  • Translate global strategies into data-backed, regionally relevant growth plans
  • Partner with Sales Leadership to align marketing programs with territory plans and key account priorities

AI-Enabled Demand Generation & Omnichannel Execution

  • Build a modern, full-funnel demand generation engine using AI, predictive analytics, and advanced segmentation
  • Orchestrate omnichannel programs across digital, search, social, events, and account-based marketing (ABM)
  • Drive adoption of AI-powered targeting, lead scoring, and personalization to improve conversion rates
  • Implement test-and-learn frameworks to continuously optimize performance and ROI

Sales & Marketing Alignment

  • Ensure rigorous alignment between marketing investment and sales strategy
  • Develop and execute annual commercial meetings aligned with strategic growth drivers
  • Establish clear SLAs and feedback loops between Marketing and Sales
  • Provide data-driven insights to inform commercial decisions

Commercialization & Launch Excellence

  • Lead regional commercialization strategies for new product introductions
  • Ensure effective launch readiness across channels and customer touchpoints
  • Localize messaging to reflect regional customer needs and competitive dynamics
  • Demonstrate agility in meeting evolving business needs

Customer & Market Insights

  • Drive Voice of Customer (VOC) initiatives to inform segmentation and value proposition refinement
  • Leverage CRM and analytics platforms to generate actionable insights
  • Monitor competitive landscape and translate insights into growth opportunities

Team Leadership & Capability Building

  • Mentor and develop a geographically distributed regional marketing team
  • Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and data-driven decision-making
  • Elevate digital, AI, and analytics capabilities across the organization
  • Champion best practice sharing across regions and with Global Marketing

Budget & Operational Excellence

  • Optimize the APJ regional marketing budget, ensuring disciplined investment allocation
  • Implement clear KPI dashboards and executive-level reporting
  • Drive operational rigor in campaign planning, execution, and measurement

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, Life Sciences, or related field; MBA or advanced degree preferred
  • 12+ years of progressive marketing experience, with significant exposure to B2B, life sciences, scientific instrumentation, or technology-driven industries
  • Proven success leading regional marketing in APJ or similarly complex, multi-country environments
  • Demonstrated ability to build and scale demand generation programs with measurable pipeline and revenue impact
  • Experience leading teams in matrixed, global organizations
  • Proficiency in marketing technology platforms and data analytics tools
  • Strong strategic problem-solving and communication skills
  • Ability to travel 30-40% within the APJ region
  • Fluency in English; proficiency in one or more APJ languages highly valued
