As the Director, People Business Partner (PBP) for APAC, you will be the senior HR leader for India and a key partner across the broader APAC region. Reporting to the Sr. Director of Global People Business Partnerships, you will serve as a strategic advisor to senior business and functional leaders, driving organizational effectiveness, leadership excellence, and people-centered strategies across India and APAC.

Based in Hyderabad, India, you will guide the development and execution of people strategies that support business growth, build leadership capability, and promote our high-performing, inclusive culture. You will be the APAC PBP lead, ensuring understanding of regional and global People priorities and influencing decision-making at both strategic and operational levels.

This role requires an HR executive who excels in a global matrix environment, brings strong business acumen, and can balance long-term organizational needs with real-time people and leadership support.Core Areas of ResponsibilityStrategic Leadership & Business Partnership

  • Serve as the senior People leader for India and a key advisor across APAC, shaping regional people strategies that align with global business priorities.
  • Partner with senior leaders on organizational design, workforce planning, succession strategies, and talent development across the region.
  • Build relationships with India-based executives and APAC leadership teams, being a trusted advisor on people strategies, culture, and organizational effectiveness.

Employee Experience, Culture & Change Leadership

  • Champion the voice of employees across India, ensuring an inclusive, engaging, and experience throughout the region.
  • Lead and influence change initiatives, including organizational evolution, transformation programs, and global rollouts to drive high adoption and clear communication.
  • Reinforce company culture and values, embedding them in leadership behaviors, team practices, and daily operations across APAC.

Leadership Coaching & Capability Building

  • Coach senior leaders and managers to strengthen their ability to build high-performing, equitable, and collaborative teams.
  • Drive effective performance management, talent discussions, and leadership development planning across India and APAC.
  • Provide thought leadership on team effectiveness, conflict resolution, and leadership growth.

Global Programs Implementation & Regional Localization

  • Partner with global Centers of Excellence (COEs) (Talent Attraction, Total Rewards, Learning, DEI, People Operations) to localize, implement, and scale global programs across India and support broader APAC execution.
  • Ensure global initiatives align with local market practices, workforce needs, and regulatory requirements.

Compensation, Benefits & Compliance

  • Stay ahead of India labor laws, market trends, and competitive compensation practices; provide insights to global Total Rewards and regional leadership.
  • Oversee policy governance, ensuring HR policies remain compliant, relevant, and aligned with evolving legislation.
  • Ensure full compliance with statutory, regulatory, and audit requirements for India People Operations.

People Operations & Employee Relations

  • Partner with Talent Acquisition, People Operations, and other global COEs to support a cohesive and high-quality employee lifecycle, ensuring alignment and a seamless experience across India and APAC.
  • Work closely with the Employee Relations (ER) team to manage and resolve employee relations matters across APAC, ensuring fair, consistent, and compliant practices.
  • Provide guidance and thought leadership on complex employee issues, partnering with ER to conduct investigations, assess risk, and develop solutions.
  • Support onboarding, mobility, development, and offboarding processes by advising stakeholders and facilitating communication between global teams and local needs.
  • Collaborate with People Operations on policy interpretation, updates, and local compliance requirements unique to India.

About You

We're excited about candidates who bring:

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field; Master's degree preferred.
  • Experience: 15+ years of progressive HR leadership experience, including significant responsibility in HR business partnering within India; APAC or global experience strongly preferred.
  • Advising: Proven success advising senior leaders and influencing across complex, global matrix organizations.
  • Expertise: Deep experience in coaching, organizational development, and cultural transformation.
  • Compliance: Strong expertise in India, Japan, and Australia labor laws, compliance, and HR best practices.
  • Operations: Demonstrated ability to lead employee lifecycle programs and partner effectively with global COEs; experience guiding People Operations processes in compliance with local governing bodies.
  • Skills: Exceptional communication, relationship-building, and influencing skills.
  • Attributes: High integrity, cultural fluency, business acumen, and adaptability in fast-paced environments.
