Role Summary
Pfizer is seeking a Director of Integrated Insights & Strategy (IIS) to lead forecasting, performance management, and analytics capability-building for its antiviral portfolio within Global Commercial Analytics (GCA). The role is anchored in three priorities: (1) owning the mid-term, long-Range Forecast (LRF) and Operating Plan, supported by best-in-class epi- and trend-based models and AI-powered forecasting; (2) managing brand performance and commercial execution through rigorous KPIs, early detection of trend breaks, and timely corrective action; and (3) building state-of-the-art analytics capabilities that move the brand from descriptive reporting toward predictive, decision-ready insight.
Reporting to the IIS Therapeutic Area Team Lead, this person will serve as the senior member of a brand-aligned team of strategists, harnessing insights from multiple sources to develop, pressure test, and socialize the forecast while gaining alignment across US and Global commercial teams. IIS is an important source of intellectual insight on commercial brand strategy: it frames business problems so the business can execute against them, identifies opportunities in performance to unlock brand value, and advises on the drivers of transformational change. Market research and integrated secondary data analytics support these priorities by grounding forecast assumptions, explaining performance, and informing resource allocation.
The ideal candidate has a proven track record of high-value brand consultancy, with experience framing, designing, and executing forecasting solutions for challenging business situations. They bring in-depth knowledge of multiple analytic disciplines, exceptional intellectual and analytical curiosity, a collaborative approach with outstanding listening skills, and a sophisticated executive presence that is comfortable working with senior brand leaders. They can work proactively and independently, and influence and drive change at all levels of an organization.
Key Responsibilities
Forecasting & Operating Plan Leadership
  • In partnership with key Pfizer stakeholders, act as lead for the development of mid-term, Long-Range Forecasts (LRFs) and Operating Plans for the Anti-viral portfolio.
  • Coordinate forecasting activities with US and Global Commercial teams to gain alignment on the forecast.
  • Drive the creation of best-in-class epi- and trend-based forecast models by connecting research and analytics, leveraging insights from all relevant sources, to generate, pressure test, and defend strong forecast assumptions
  • Document the assumptions appropriately for better visibility/transparency behind forecast
  • Anticipate future market evolution (competitive entrants, treatment paradigm shifts, access dynamics) and translate implications into forward-looking recommendations and forecast scenarios.
  • Partner with data science and forecasting COE to leverage AI-powered forecasting capabilities to improve model robustness and support efficient scenario analysis and analog searches.
  • Review and enhance forecasts and strategic brand plans, applying strong expertise to qualify and quantify the business opportunity, and communicate results and recommendations to senior leadership.
  • Ensure accurate, effective performance measurement against forecast and plan, and deliver regular portfolio performance assessments to leadership, with clear articulation of what the data means for the business.

Brand Performance & Execution Management
  • Serve as a strategic thought partner to US and Global Paxlovid commercial teams, framing and answering priority business questions on market dynamics, patient/HCP behavior, and investment decisions.
  • Develop and monitor key performance metrics (KPIs) to keep brand leadership informed of the latest trends and to evaluate the effectiveness of Paxlovid marketing campaigns and overall commercial execution.
  • Proactively evaluate and predict trend breaks, and recommend corrective actions, including campaign improvements and asset optimization grounded in customer insight.
  • Partner with the Data Science team to integrate campaign insights into broader analytic activities, painting a full picture of marketing execution and customer behavior and informing resource allocation decisions.

Analytics Capability Building & Innovation
  • Play a key role in advancing the analytics vision for guiding better decision making across the Paxlovid brand and the broader IIS team.
  • Lead dialogue to integrate insights across cross-functional teams, including market research, data science, performance analytics, analytics engineering, and media, to deliver a cohesive, unified point of view for brand stakeholders.
  • Partner with other analytic functions to advance the use of novel data sources, including real-world data (RWD), and to keep activities aligned and cohesive for our stakeholders.
  • Contribute to team capability through thought leadership, and share knowledge and expertise with colleagues using the knowledge-sharing platform.
  • Build and maintain an in-house knowledge base so insights accumulate, are easily retrievable, and reduce duplication of effort across the brand team.

Basic Qualifications
  • BA/BS in Engineering, Economics, Mathematics, Statistics, or a related field required; MS, MBA, or related advanced degree preferred.
  • 8+ years of experience in forecasting, commercial/marketing analytics, consulting, finance, or market research (7+ years with an advanced degree).
  • 5+ years at a high-value level (for example, US and Global) developing data-driven brand strategy and leading long-range forecasts and operating plans for major assets (>$1B), ideally in acute-care, antiviral, or specialty pharma.
  • Hands-on experience with epidemiology- and trend-based forecast models, including defining assumptions, scenario planning, and tracking performance against forecast.
  • Defined involvement in helping frame, design, and run forecasting scenarios for challenging business situations; familiarity with the use of AI in forecasting applications.
  • Track record developing and monitoring marketing/commercial KPIs, identifying trend breaks, and translating performance data into corrective-action and optimization recommendations.
  • Highly proficient in Excel and PowerPoint, and in leveraging primary market research and secondary pharmaceutical data sets (for example sales, claims, EHR, payer) to generate actionable insights that address strategic business questions.
  • Working proficiency with core analytics and reporting platforms (for example Tableau, Snowflake for Analytics, Dataiku, and Claude for AI-assisted analysis), able to pull, interpret, and synthesize data independently.
  • Proven track record as a trusted, indispensable thought partner to senior brand leaders, with the ability to influence without authority and to manage through influence.
  • Exceptional intellectual and analytical curiosity; a creative thinker who can drive innovation and frame ambiguous problems into testable hypotheses and analytic plans.
  • Sophisticated executive presence and excellent presentation skills, able to distill complex, multi-source data into clear, persuasive narratives, verbally and in writing.
  • Collaborative, team-oriented self-starter with outstanding listening skills, able to work proactively and independently and to drive change at all levels of an organization.

  • Understanding ofIQVIA data (for example DDD, LAAD) and other secondary data sources, and of novel data sources such as RWD.
  • Proficiency in data analysis tools such as Python, R, and SQL, and data visualization platforms such as Tableau and Power BI.
  • Experience working with Data Science and CoE teams to build or scale predictive and forecasting models.
  • Experience building institutional knowledge systems that embed learning into ongoing analytics and strategy work.
