Responsible for the management, direction, leadership and coordination of Cardiopulmonary, Laboratory, Radiology, Occupational Health, Pharmacy, and the Center for Rehabilitation and Sports Medicine. Works closely with the hospital staff and medical staff to meet the hospital’s mission. Plays an active role in the design and implementation of new patient care services.

· Directs the operational, financial, personnel, and quality activities of ancillary services. Oversee and assure efficient, effective fiscal, personnel, and program management of the operational areas of responsibility.

· Ensure quality ancillary services practice through the development and monitoring of clinical and operational performance standards, policies, procedures that are evidence-based and consistent with nationally recognized standards, readily accessible and user friendly.

· Guides the preparation of operating, capital and FTE budgets of the ancillary departments, promoting optimum allocation and utilization of resources to accomplish defined goals. Monitors budget variances through analysis of reports and written documentation.

· Collaborate with other organizational leaders and is cross functional with other members of the executive leadership team to ensure that patient care is provided in an integrated manner.

· Works closely with department managers and executive leadership team to develop and implement systems for optimal and efficient patient care.

· Develop, recommend, and update strategic long-range plans to ensure that patient care programs and operation objectives of the hospital strategic plan are achieved.

· Establishes and maintains systems to ensure compliance with all regulatory standards and accrediting bodies.

· Protect confidentiality and privacy, including but not limited to, HIPAA policies, proprietary and financial information.

· Responsible for abiding by and adhering to all HDH Corporate Compliance Program initiatives and Behavior Based Standards.

· Responsible for compliance with HDH safety standards, policies and procedures.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in healthcare discipline with minimum 5 years’ related experience including 2 years’ of progressive management level experience. MHA, MBA or MS in health or business administration with minimum 5 years’ related experience including 2 years’ executive level experience is preferred. 

Must be able to physically and emotionally able to handle irregular hours with minimal absences. Must be able to stand, walk, bend, stoop, life, reach, sit, and drive for significant periods of time. Position requires coordination, corrected vision, hearing, legible writing and the verbal ability to express ideas clearly. The position requires the successful completion of a medical examination after offer of hire has been made. The position requires the employee to be free of all unlawful substances and alcohol.

Hospital and/or Office Site business hours. Requires occasional attendance at meetings at various times of the day or evening. Requires administrative call on a rotating basis. Must be willing to work according to hospital needs.
