Director of Advisor Channel Sales
REPORTS TO: CRO
DEPARTMENT: Advisor Sales
FLSA STATUS: Exempt
TRAVEL: None
WORK SCHEDULE: M-F, may need to flex times due to business needs
LOCATION: Hartford, CT (4-days onsite and 1-day remote)

JOB SUMMARY:
The Director of Advisor Channel Sales is a key growth role and serves as a direct report to our Chief Revenue Officer. The role supports the growth of our largest channel, Covr Advisor, which has over 30,000 addressable advisors.  The business is growing 20% per year and needs a leader who can focus on increasing penetration through sales execution, COI engagement and management reporting.  The person will have broad responsibilities over all major sales functions like hiring, training, field hierarchies, management reporting and national training events. This is a growth role with significant advancement potential.
Job Functions:
  • Serves as the point person for development and implementation of all sales training and sales recruiting programs using our recruiting system. 
  • Performs various sales reporting and sales analysis to help maximize sales effectiveness. 
  • Updates and maintains our advisor CRM system. 
  • Provides active sales/marketing support to include creating pitch decks, trade show logistics, set up coordination and event planning. 
  • Partners with National Sales Manager and Key Account Directors to drive Covr partnerships with new institutions, enterprise sales, coordination of SalesForce and meetings related to this endeavor are key. 
  • Performs other projects and duties as assigned.
Education and Experience
  • Bachelor's degree in business or related discipline, or any equivalent combination of education/experience
  • 5+ years of sales operations support roles directly supporting wholesaling of insurance to agents and advisors. 
  • 2+ years’ experience in insurance and financial services
  • Insurance licenses and/or industry designations a plus

Knowledge and Skills:
  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to multi-task without losing focus.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel
  • Comfortable with routine, repetitive tasks
  • Strong entrepreneurial spirit and self-starter that operates quickly and efficiently in a highly fast paced environment and works well under pressure.
  • Excellent planning and organizational skills.
  • Teamwork and collaboration - working with internal and external customers as business partners to achieve business goals.
  • Strong advisor and customer-facing skills; high impact communicator in a sales-oriented environment
  • Excellent written communication skills
