DIRECTV is seeking an experienced and strategic Director of Ad Sales, Digital Partnerships to lead our efforts in developing and monetizing digital and data partnerships. This key leadership role will focus on improving, developing, and fostering new and existing digital and data partnerships by capitalizing on our rich subscriber and viewership data. The ideal candidate will grow a new revenue stream through inbound and outbound data licensing deals. This position plays a crucial role in redefining how DIRECTV Ad Sales monetizes both digital and linear assets, while maintaining proper data governance. The role also encompasses partner demand and strategy within indirect demand channels, including programmatic platforms, local/reseller/distribution, and ad platforms.
Here's what you’ll do:
- Identify, negotiate, and manage partnership opportunities to maximize revenue growth across all DIRECTV Ad products.
- Establish and broaden the scope of existing partnerships to increase revenue potential.
- Lead internal and external communication between Product, Marketing, and Operations teams.
- Manage areas impacting revenue and demand generation across partner channels.
- Evaluate partner consideration based on existing, ad hoc, and proactive sales/product needs.
- Collaborate with Business Development on the negotiation and fulfillment of contractual obligations.
- Translate partner goals into revenue and product requirements.
- Focus on revenue attainment and develop recommendations to achieve set goals through partnerships.
- Monitor performance metrics and optimize partnership outcomes.
- Support and develop a cohesive data partner strategy across the organization.
- Develop strategic plans for monetizing both digital and linear assets through data partnerships.
- Present partnership performance and opportunities to senior leadership.
- Collect and analyze marketplace intelligence to guide the direction of commercial strategies.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with Ad tech partners (SSP/DSP), publishers, and OEM partners.
- Represent DIRECTV Advertising at key industry events and conferences.
What you’ll need to be successful:
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Communications, or related field preferred.
- 5 – 7 years of experience in ad sales, data partnerships, or related roles in the media/advertising industry; end to end knowledge of the advertising sales process.
- Proven track record of developing and monetizing data partnerships.
- Strong understanding of the advertising ecosystem, including programmatic platforms, DSPs, and SSPs.
- Excellent business acumen and business analytical skills with the ability to translate data insights into revenue opportunities.
- Strong business development and relationship management skills.
- Understanding of both digital and linear advertising environments.
- Executive level written and verbal communication and presentation skills.
- Strong negotiation skills with the ability to structure complex partnership agreements.
- Strategic thinking with a focus on revenue growth and business development.
- Ability to collaborate effectively across departments and with external partners.
- Experience with CRM systems and data analysis tools.
- Proven track record forging strong relationships with clients, understanding their objectives, and recommending best strategies.
- Ability to work well with others and collaborate cross-functionally in a fast-paced environment.
This Director of Ad Sales, Digital Partnerships position offers an exciting opportunity for a seasoned professional to play a pivotal role in growing DIRECTV's Digital business. The ideal candidate will combine strong business development skills with data expertise to forge valuable partnerships that drive revenue growth. This role requires, but is not limited to, 10% travel.

Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.

N4: $140,875 - $211,255
Please note that the salary ranges reflect base salary only and do not include bonus or benefits - when you consider all of these together, it represents a pretty impressive total compensation package.
