Leads and directs general accounting services for the system, monitors operations, and develops internal controls to ensure activities and transactions comply with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP). Works with accounting leaders to manage the presentation of financial information and analysis. Develops performance metrics, policies, procedures and internal controls. Provides strategic guidance on business issues, recognizing cross-functional and system-wide implications, and inter-dependencies of decisions.Job Description:

EDUCATION:
Bachelor's: Accounting, Finance, Business Administration or related field
TYPICAL EXPERIENCE:
12 years recent relevant experience.
PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:
Accounting management experience and CPA license (preferred)
Insured products accounting experience - IBNR, capitation etc.
Value Based Care experience
Able to summarize highly complex and technical topics into easy to understand presentations for executive leadership
SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE:
Working knowledge of accounting and/or finance operations.
Working knowledge of basic principles and methods of accounting, auditing and financial reporting, including generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP).
Understands the business and service organization best practices.
Strategic skills for reviewing processes and strategies to ensure successful alignment with business needs and for identifying improvement opportunities
Analytical skills with proven ability to resolve issues/problems by leveraging business and functional knowledge and client relationships.
Ability to manage projects from inception to successful implementation.

Pay Range is $177,777.60 to $284,460.80 / annual salaryThe compensation range may vary based on the geographic location where the position is filled. Total compensation considers multiple factors, including, but not limited to a candidate’s experience, education, skills, licensure, certifications, departmental equity, training, and organizational needs. Base pay is only one component of Sutter Health’s comprehensive total rewards program. Eligible positions also include a comprehensive benefits package.
